Great for families

Very attractive large property in pretty village near the sea. Well equipped, very practical layout apart from only one toilet upstairs for 5 bedrooms. Helpful owners with good communication. Excellent wifi throughout the house. Nice garden. Can definitely recommend Hoxne House.

Hoxne House

We were a family of 12 with 2dogs, age range between 2 & 87 years. The house is large enough to accommodate us all and with enough space to give you personal space when needed. The garden is secure and safe for both the children and dogs. The beach is a nice walk, or if fit like the younger members of our family a pleasant run. We found everything we needed and it's close to Sheringham.

Everything you need

We had a wonderful 3 night stay in Hoxne House and had everything we needed within reach. A beautiful cottage that slept us all comfortably, a local shop over the road with everything you may need plus a good coffee and pastry section, a local pub with a good selection of beers and the North Norfolk Coast near by. Highly recommended!!

Hoxne House Weybourne

Ein schönes Objekt an einer sehr reizvollen Küste und in ruhiger Umgebung (es sei denn in der Weybourne Village Hall wird gefeiert). Die Umgebung ist sehr schön und abwechslungsreich. Mit ein wenig Fahrzeit erschließt man sich diverse Sehenswürdigkeiten, nette Ortschaften, Strände, Städte, Natur und Ausflugsziele. Das Haus hat uns ausreichend Raum und Schlafmöglichkeiten geboten, konnte mit einer Küche, Kühlschrank und Waschmaschine aufwarten und war nicht zuletzt aufgrund des abgeschirmten Gartens auch für unseren Hund sehr schön für unsere Ferien geeignet. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und würden das Haus sicherlich wieder buchen. Ein Kiesstrand ist wenige hundert Meter zu Fuß und mit Fahrzeug, Sandstrände und Seebäder/Badeorte mit einer 20-30 minütigen Autofahrt erreichbar. Unser Urlaub fand in einer der Sommerhitzewellen 2022 statt, was durch den fast ständigen Wind sehr angenehm heruntergekühlt wurde. Vielen Dank !

Perfect for our needs

The house is comfortable and had all we needed for a pleasant stay except for a dishwasher (we were aware of this before we booked). Hopefully the soon to be fitted new kitchen will have one. Nice garden, convenient shop and pub, all in a good location to explore the area.

Post lockdown getaway

The property was large and airy, clean and well located, and our hostess responsive and organised. However, there were too many beds in the property for the number of toilets (misdescribed on the listing - there are only 2 toilets at the property, one downstairs and through the kitchen), and the kitchen was small and had seen better days. We made the best of it, and enjoyed our long weekend notwithstanding, but would suggest some investment in the bathrooms and kitchen is overdue.

We found Hoxne house to be clean comfortable with plenty of space and had everything we needed Great

11 of us stayed and the large table easily seated us all ,we had 4 cars on the drive but plenty of spaces on the lane as well.Great village location beach and coast path 2 mins down the lane,had lovely walk to Sheringham and got the bus back, very handy! Great pub with excellent food across the road and good village shop, went on the steam train to holt and trips to blakeney and Wells.excellent base for north Norfolk will go to hoxne house again had a great time.

Great for a Family Holiday

This is a lovely, traditional cottage style house. We were on a holiday for Mom`s 80th birthday, and everyone had a great time. The Ship pub just across the road is very friendly, welcomes dogs, and serves great food. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely spacious house

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at Hoxne house. There was plenty of room for us three adults and six children. The beach being five mins walk away was a massive added bonus! We really didn’t want to go! Will definitely be booking to stay again.

Could be outstanding

Location and house are 5 star and perfect for a get away. The provisions of bedding and kitchen equipment is ok but no frills and could be improved (eg. Hard to cook a roast with no measuring equipment, scales, oven gloves). Expect efficient (and sometimes ubrupt) communication and a good holiday.
