The main downside is the location. There are very few dining options within walking distance, and the hotel does not provide an airport...

"Great location to have a few very calm days right by the fjord near Bergen, with different nature activities right around the corner. The hosts are very kind and welcoming, the rooms are spacious, as well as the well equipped kitchen and living room area. Can only reccommend this place! Thanks for a very relaxing stay. "Nicht gefallen hat mir: - das Restaurant zum Abendessen befindet sich außerhalb des Hotels - in diesem Restaurant bekam ich am Ankunftstag keine Plätze - im Schlafzimmer war der Durchgang zwischen Bett und Wand zu schmal und zusätzlich durch einen an der Wand montierten Smart-TV eingeschränkt - die Toilettenbürste war alt und unsauber Gefallen hat mir: - das Personal war immer sehr freundlich - es stand jederzeit kostenlos Kaffee und Tee in der Lobby zur Verfügung"

"We enjoyed this as our final stay in Norway after 2 weeks. It was idyllic, scenic, and we loved the hens and chicks free ranging on the property! So cute. The only confusion was that there isn't any signage directing you where to go when you arrive. We accidentally went to the door of their main home that is pictured in the Expedia listing, instead of the home that is the rental described. I had to message them when we arrived for clarification. Other than that, the stay was very relaxing....

"Room was full of dirty laundry and bedsheets. No staff on duty. Nobody answered the phone. Other guests were leaving because of broken shower and no toilet paper. I had no choice but to get another hotel. 2 hours later I received an email that they had assigned the wrong room. Too late. I want a refund of my prepayment."

"The location is absolutely perfect. Right in the heart of the wharf Note - this is similar to a hostel … but no lounge area or staff. It is simply a hall with bedroom doors, 2 bathrooms, 1 shower and laundry. So no place to connect or sit outside of your bedroom. No staff for questions or security. The small room is simple - bed and nightstand and small high window . Linens fresh … Also note - it’s a five storey old building with winding stairs and no elevator - so not ideal for anyone...
