We invite you and your family to come to visit us here at the Sun Dog with great weather and beautiful sunsets! This property offers a peaceful getaway close to beaches and all amenities with
an inflatable HOT TUB on site!

Our property is perfect for couples and small families. Bring your boat, beach chairs, surfboard, and walking shoes!
We are on a secluded lot with a small farm behind the home.

Relax on the back deck underneath a pergola after a day of playing and exploring Topsail Island.

The Sun Dog is 2 miles from the beach and intracoastal waterway (not walking accessible).

We offer a quiet, peaceful oasis while still close to all the amenities Surf City has to offer.
We invite you to take a walk across the Surf City Bridge for amazing views of the sunrise and sunset, the best view of the island, ocean, and waterway.

We offer a nice seating area with 2 love seats and a recliner with a 40-inch flat-screen television with streaming apps. We have also included a Bluetooth speaker for you to use to stream your favorite music while relaxing.

Our 2 bedrooms offer a queen bed and a double bed with lots of pillows. We have provided linens, extra pillows, and blankets.

The bathroom is supplied with towels, washcloths, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner for your convenience. We have a shower and bathtub for your use.

Our kitchen is stocked with cookware, cookie sheets, a Keurig. We have plates and cups, wine glasses, cooking and eating utensils. We also offer a dishwasher with dishwasher tabs.

It is a perfect retreat for couples and families. Room to let the children run and play after a fun day on the water.
You have 2 outdoor sitting areas with a charcoal grill for relaxing.

The front porch is perfect for southern nights with a nice evening breeze. The back patio is perfect for morning coffee and evening grilling.

We even have enough space to bring your boat as well.
There are public boat landings within a few miles where you can launch your boat, kayak, or canoe.

Surf City has many amenities including many restaurants, ice cream shops, food trucks, grocery stores, breweries, live music, jet ski rentals, sunset cruises, several parks, and putt putt for the kids. There are jet ski, surfboard, paddle board, and boat rentals down the street along with a sunset cruise right in Surf City.

Restaurants include Seafood, Italian, Chinese, Burgers and much more. Just ask and we can make recommendations!!!

We also have supplied beach towels and a cooler for your beach day!

If you are interested in visiting Wilmington you are only 45 minutes away. Camp Lejeune is less than 45 minutes away as well. ILM and Ellis airport are both less than 45 minutes away.

We are right next door so we are here to serve you. We are so excited to offer a property that you and your family can make memories for a lifetime!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay, nice cottage, had everything we needed except an iron and ironing board, will bring my steamer next time . Close to the beach, restaurants, and grocery store.

Overall great stay! Clean, cute home with privacy. Lots of kitchen pots and utensils which makes cooking nice and convenient. Sadly, the beach isn’t walking distance. House sits on a busy highway with no place to walk. And the hot tub heater didn’t seem to be working. But it’s a beautiful area with nearby grocery stores and an awesome steakhouse.

Becky, our host, was the epitome of Southern Hospitality! Because we were driving north to Surf City Beach during tropical storm Debby, she even supplied us with alternate routes in case of flooding. This home is cozy, clean and very welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return if we are in that area again.

This is a great place to stay for that home feel stay. Very nice and extremely clean . I loved the small touches left to welcome our stay. The hot tub was an excellent addition.

Very pleasant place you have, felt very inviting as soon as you walk up on the porch with the porch seating used it alot. House was nicely decorated with beach theme, we liked. Just could go on and on but we wint. Over all. Great stay and would rent again.

This cottage was a perfect getaway for us. Super clean and accomodating. Very close to all the areas we enjoy (topsail beach, surf city, north topsail, sneads ferry). Our host was super nice as well. We really enjoyed our trip.

The property location being close to everything provides flexibility to enjoy the beach but also enjoy some quiet home stay as well. The host is amazing and available if needed. The property was very clean and had all needed amenities. We hope to visit back soon!
