very unhappy

first off I was told it was not paid prior to my arrival but I seen on my sizzle account that VRBO had come out but they would not accept it.. so I paid again cause I needed a place to stay.....so I checked in later in the afternoon. and I was so tired and sick cause I had just come off a cruise, and I was unable to look over the entire place. when I arrived it had a smell that was not pleasing so I sprayed some air freshener. I also seen hair all over the floor and crown molding which I took pictures of... then I went and layed down ... how ever people staying beside me or in the unit was so loud I could hear there conversations.. slamming doors... the big dog barking etc... I tried to go to sleep so I finally did cause I had to be up at 5am. I rolled over to see a brown spot in the covers which was nasty and then I took a shower didn't notice all the hair on the drain until the morning and that really grosses me out ... I asked the person on text when check out was Saturday afternoon they did say I could leave at noon... but when I got back to the place around 6 the smell inside was even worse like rotten something ... I laid at the edge of the bed with my fur baby and fell asleep to be woke up at 8:45pm from all the loud noises .. I chose this place cause it was just adults or so I thought cause that was on the check in stuff and the property description .... well it was so bad my dog would not stop barking so I had to leave cause her trachea just collapsed 2 months ago ..

Nice place and amazing beach!

Our stay was good! The only con for us was not having a stove/oven, which may be a detail I missed/overlooked, I’m not sure. We just got a blackstone from Lowe’s since we couldn’t use the community grill onsite due to allergy/cross contamination risk. No big deal for us but may be for some. Overall, we definitely feel we would stay here again if we go on another vacation with our dogs. The location is great and host was very nice!

Lovely place to stay

Clean comfortable place for a short stay.All of the necessities. Fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee maker and pods, wine opener and glasses. Central location in Surf City.

Great Location!

We had a wonderful stay here during our time in Surf City. The location was close to public beach access and restaurants. Perfect for two people, but the space is small, which was listed in the description.

disappointed

No chairs or table. If you wanted to eat anything you had to sit on the bed or use it as a table. Same with the floor, stand or sit on it to watch TV. Very uncomfortable to eat outside especially when its raining.

Perfect location

Small one room with bath-knew this going in. It met our needs for a week. The main reason we chose this location was ability to bring dogs that are >20 pounds. It’s extremely hard to find a place that allows dogs. Perfect location. Less than five minutes to beach and shopping/dining are within walking distance. Flies are terrible everywhere on the island! Bring a flyswatter!
