Built in 1797, the Eppes House holds a special place in history—with connections to Thomas Jefferson—and offers the perfect blend of old-world charm and modern comfort.

Nestled in the peaceful countryside of Dillwyn, VA, you're just 12 minutes from Farmville, where you can explore local dining, charming shops, and the seasonal farmers market. Whether you're here to unwind in nature, sip local wine, or dive into Virginia’s rich history, this home is the perfect base.

The original center of the house dates back to 1796, with two modern wings added in the last 15 years—giving you a cozy mix of charm and space.

Sleeping Arrangements:

2 upstairs bedrooms in the historic section (please note: no bathroom on this level). One has two twins and the other has a queen bed.

1 full bathroom and 1 half bath on the main floor

Master suite in the left wing (upstairs) with full bath, including a shower and jacuzzi tub.

Living room has a queen pull out sofa bed.

All beds except for the sofa bed have newer hybrid mattresses.

Located above the attached garage in the right wing, there’s a separate studio apartment that may be rented during your stay. It’s well-separated from the main home, and it’s unlikely you’ll hear other guests.

This home is full of character, offering both privacy and shared spaces. Perfect for families, couples, or small groups looking for a peaceful, memorable stay in a unique historic setting.

Please note there are alot of steps at this property and may not be well suited for those with mobility issues. Also, while children are allowed it is not child proofed.

We are near a busy road and you may hear road noise. However, it is generally very quiet in the evening. You might even hear and see the Amish buggies going down the street.
