Gated community Shipyard Plantation, every room has picture windows overlooking small lake. The condo was built with plenty of land and is next to swimming pool. Park your car in front of condo not a football field away because too many cars too many people too little room that is your too typical resort. Two swimming pools two tennis courts or pickle ball- available for condo owners. 3 Gas barbeque areas with sitting area and two large barbeques available for your use. Night walks on golf course are quiet and beautiful after a day on our beach.

Pros: Great, convenient location. A few minutes of a bike ride to the main strip, less than two blocks to the beach, scenic lagoon views from balcony, and clean pools on-site with a lot of other amenities.Cons: The wrong address for key pick up was given to us, resulting in a significant delay in checking in, upon arrival the door to the condo was unlocked, beds with comforters but no sheets, and a trashbag of dirty bedding in the entryway. The "private" access gate lock never actually locked, the dishwasher has a horrible smell when it runs, and what visually looked to be mold was present in the garbage disposal plumbing as well as above the microwave and in the kitchen vents. The dryer (for small loads) needed ran a minimum of three times to dry properly.All in all, I would stay again with how good the location was.

Unfortunately we wish we could’ve gotten our hard earned money back and stayed elsewhere. We used to have a family condo at brigantine quarters and loved staying there.When we arrived to the condo there is a general stinch to it. Not a clean scent. Just FYI no smart tv (nbd). The curtains were ripped vertically as if an animal scratched them hanging from them. There was food under the kitchen table and in the trash can still. There was food in the dishwasher. There was some sticky substance on the floor in front of the couch. Toilet paper used. I understand these were just house keeping issues so initially we just notified them. However upon un packing we found the ceiling has a black substance to it that resembles mold. The toilet seats are chipped where you sit… I was just surprised at the difference between our family condo a few doors down and this one. I assumed maybe someone wasn’t keeping up and the owner may not be aware so I did notify him of all of this. I’m sure it’s being taken cared of. We actually had to change condos to “the back up”. We were not issued any kind of refund so far. Note the beach walkway is directly down from your master window. As for brigantine quarters,we’ve always loved staying there. The playground was closed while we were there, hopefully that is back up soon. There are two pools very kid friendly pools we love that. You see deer while riding down the road and even in the yard. The beach walk is not bad and you can also park at sonesta.

Great place and location

Loved the balcony, especially in the morning and night, and very comfortable the rest of the villa. Proximity of the two pools was great, short walk to the beach and short bike ride to Coligny Plaza made it the perfect location. Would definitely stay again.

Location is perfect

Location is superb. Having the beach access there was amazing and it was a 10min walk to coligny plaza. The pools on site were very nice. Pickleball/tennis courts were nice (wish they were lighted so we could have played in the cooler evenings). Cons were the dryer. Took multiple full cycles to dry small loads. I did report it to maintenance upon checkout. Thought it was just because it was damp towels we were drying, but even a small load of toddler clothes at the end of our visit took 2 cycles to dry. Tv is cable only, wish we had our Roku stick to use our streaming services. Listing reports beach chairs, but there aren’t any. I did check beforehand and the owner said there were none so we planned accordingly. Would have been nice to have a place to store our beach stuff. Options were to either put in and out of our car each time, or carry up a lot of steps to store outside the door. We loved watching the gators from the window. It was probably the highlight of our little guys trip.

Perfect for our family

This place was perfect for our family. Lots of space, super close to the pool, and the gate for the walk to the beach was right next to us! Couldn’t ask for a better location for the price. My kids were so sad to leave. We hope to come back to this same place!

Nice location

Overall the stay was good. We feel the accommodation is due for some upgrades. I will communicate these items directly to the owner. The biggest surprise was discovering the unit was on the second floor. If we had not been able to climb stairs this would have been a deal breaker. This needs to be clear in the property description.

Great family trip

Had a wonderful vacation with our family. This unit has recently been updated with new floors. Only carpet in bedrooms. Big wi does to view the lake and wildlife below. Closest unit to the beach access and only steps away from Both pools. Did wish there was some plastic bowls and cups for the kids. For all the units here in this complex, If you enjoy cooking on vacation, be prepared to pick up seasonings (salt/pepper) ketchup, coffee filters, dish soap, olive oil and scrubber at the store along with your groceries. This is expected now on the island most places it seems with how Kroger puts these on sale each week. I recommend renting bikes as the bike trail to coligny circle is easy access and not having to worry about parking. Host was exceptional with good communication. Overall we would love to stay again in this unit. Amazing time.

Brigantine Quarters- our favorite

We love staying in Brigantine Quarters!! I love the separate beach access and it's an EASY bike ride to Coligny Plaza/Beach. This is our first time staying in this particular rental unit. Our condo overlooked the lake and we were fortunate to see the gator(s) every morning. Everything about renting the property was easy. We will definitely be back!

Great experience

Booking was easy and the owner stayed in contact making sure we had everything we needed. We received the instructions timely and when we arrived after 6pm our packet was waiting. Grandkids loved the pools. The beach access was very good. Through the gate and short walk (5 min) to the beach with a gentle dunes crossing. The 12 yr old kids rode bikes, I pushed a cart, very little traffic. There are steps (24) leading up to condo that may be a problem for some people. We had a great time with the beach, pools, biking, jogging and tennis. I’m home now, resting. :)

A hidden gem

Robert was great to communicate with. The unit was so close to the gate where you could access the road that took you to the beach or nearby Coligny shops and restaurants. Overall, the unit and the location within Shipyard was great. The HOA could stand to update the units in the year to come. We noticed lots of deferred maintenance on the exterior (chipping pealing paint) and the interior (carpet needs replacing). We will be back to Brigantine Quarters. A very quiet and perfect place!

We Love Brigantine

We have stayed at Brigantine Quarters at least 6 times over the last 10 years. It is a very family friendly area, and the access to walk to the beach is a great!! Robert’s unit is directly beside the walking path to the gate so super convenient, and extremely close to both pools. The condo itself was exactly what we have come to expect from all Brigantine units. Sometimes you will find the dryers do not work at drying those beach towels very well but 292 had all appliances that worked great! The twin beds were super comfortable to sleep in. We loved the view of the gators and wildlife in the water directly below. Great vacation with many new HHI memories.

Great Location

The location is ideal because you can walk or bike to the beach. Not all places in Shipyard have this convenience. Also the beach area is not crowded at all. Shipyard itself is also a great area because you can bike in all around with low traffic and lots of shade. Brigantine (the subdivision) has two pools which are great for after being at the beach all day. And last but not least, the apartment is spacious ad clean and has all the amenities needed to be very comfortable. The beds are great.

Great stay at Brigantine

We love this condo and location. It was very clean (which we really appreciated) and had everything in the description. We love both pools near the property as well as the little playground. This year we especially loved hanging out on the balcony and looking at the alligators in the water. Thanks for a great stay!

Not clean but great location

We've stayed in a couple of different locations in HHI. I would stay in this location but not this condo. Pros: -It is an excellent location for biking and walking to restaurants and beach - Nice pools with plenty of seating -Quiet location -Comfortable beds Cons: - Needs a thorough cleaning. Smashed bugs on wall in 2nd bdr -Cobwebs in bathroom and bedrooms -Beyond disgusting blood on on mattress cover/sheets -Decor needs updating -Limited cooking, baking, and storage if you plan to stay long term
