Cabin in the woods feeling but minutes from Highlands. All modern appliances. Fans are modern and quiet. Lowest temp was 55 but heat barely came on so I suspect well insulated. New windows and appliances. We didn’t watch TV but very small TV. Good response from management when needed.

House was great as was the location. Super close to downtown Highlands and had everything you needed for a long weekend. Quiet neighborhood comfortable beds and 2 back decks to enjoy being in nature. Glad was super easy to work with and extremely responsive. Would recommend the Spotted Owl for your next stay in Highlands.

Best Host

I somehow booked for the wrong dates, and when I arrived to check in, there was already someone there at home. I called the host right away, as I was confused. She called me back promptly, understood my situation, and worked with me to find a solution. after about 30 minutes. she found a property that wasn't ready for checking, but she had her team go and get it ready, within 2-3 hours I had a place to stay for the weekend. and she didn't even charge me for my mistake. I would stay at one of her properties again. Not to mention that the house was clean, beautiful, and much bigger than I had booked originally.

60th Birthday Weekend!

This was our first visit to Highlands and we loved it! The cabin was exactly as described. Great location, close to town but also felt like we were in the woods. Easy check in, and the house was immaculate. Comfy beds. We didn’t do any cooking on our 3 night stay, with so many great places to eat out, but the kitchen was well equipped.

Weekend Getaway!

Loved our short stay in Highlands here. Such an easy walk to town, even with our stroller! The house was a classic cabin feel, and super clean. We loved the touch of the towels and even toilet paper tied into bows. It was perfect for our family of 3! I will say the stairs inside are a little steep, so just be aware of that. The bedrooms are on the basement level and the living is on the main level. We didn’t mind this at all. Would definitely recommend this place!

Great for a small family

Great location. Loved being in town but also in the woods. Fit our small family well. Had everything we needed. The door at the top of the stairs locks so we were able to let our toddler walk around without worrying about him falling down the stair, which was great!

Perfect cabin!

We absolutely LOVED this property! The cabin is pristinely clean - and beautifully decorated. The back porches look over a forest and it’s just a wonderful feeling of seclusion yet within walking distance to everything in the heart of Highlands.

Great location - nice property

The property location is super convenient and very nice. There was an issue with the access code to enter the property and we were unable to reach the property manager immediately. Due to a tight schedule we had, we were anxious that there might be an issue with the booking, but Holly called us back within 15 minutes and we were able to get in. She explained she was out of cell service when we first called. We highly recommend this property.
