"The staff were friendly and the room was clean and the bed comfortable but the decorating was clearly done by an amateur! Maybe the hotel inspector needed for the rooms at this price. We didn’t buy breakfast but were given coffee and cereal. "

"Upon entering, the room smelt strongly of mould and damp. There was mould all over the bedroom window and the smell also came from the bathroom. The bathroom door latch didn't work, so the door didn't stay closed. The bathroom extractor fan is caked with dust, the bath looks like it hadn't been cleaned, the panel looks incomplete and the grouting is mouldy in the shower. The bedroom had a radio, which was also caked in dust. I have a severe allergy to dust, which immediately caused a...

"The hotel’s public rooms maintain a faded charm of times long gone, but the bedrooms and bathrooms are modern, well equipped and functional. The setting overlooking the coast could not be bettered - and enjoying it whilst tucking into an excellent buffet breakfast was great. We will definitely return."

"We had a really pleasant stay at Laguna Hotel Bournemouth. The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and they were always happy to help. The hotel offers great value for money, with comfortable rooms, useful facilities, and free parking, which made the stay even easier. The location is also very convenient, with Bournemouth town centre and the beach within easy reach. We especially enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and would happily stay here again."

"The restaurant staff was very friendly but reception was more like “This is it, take it or leave it”… We asked support for our son to have a quick shower as he felt unwell under the sun, just 5 minutes after we checked out ( at a time earlier than 11 am check out time) they showed no empathy The second bed was extremely uncomfortable. "I LOVED this place! A proper British pub, that was so cozy it felt like home. I absolutely loved the towel warmers ( we don't have that in the US) and the Ily coffee in the room with a French press and cookies. Was an extra cherry on top! The bed was so comfortable and felt like I was in the countryside tucked away from the world. I absolutely loved it and would 10/10 come back and stay again! Not to mention the breakfast was absolutely fabulous! Thank you for such a great stay!"

Had not visited IOW since a child over 60 years ago so loved everything - it did not disappoint . Breakfast was delightful with Bridget. Would visit again."
