Welcome to Bee at Peace! Our cabin comfortably accommodates 6 guests. Enjoy the outdoors with a hot tub, sand volleyball court, horseshoe pits, hammocks, front porch rocking chairs and a rock fire pit. Located just miles from the stunning Linville Gorge, Lake James, and the Fonta Flora Trail, you'll have access to all the outdoor adventures the foothills have to offer. Welcome to our rustic, farmhouse-style getaway—Bee at Peace! Nestled in a private setting with Russel Creek flowing gently behind, this cabin features custom furniture and personal touches that make it feel like home. Inside, enjoy a cozy living room with a large stone fireplace and gas logs. Outdoors, you’ll find a hot tub, sand volleyball court, horseshoe pits, hammocks, and a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs, all with the peaceful backdrop of Russel Creek.

AREA INFORMATION
Located just a few miles from incredible hiking and nature spots, you’ll have access to the Fonta Flora Trail (2 miles), Lake James State Park (8 miles), and the stunning Linville Gorge area. The Hawksbill, Table Rock, and Shortoff trails lead to breathtaking peaks surrounding the gorge. Upper Creek Falls, Linville Falls, and Catawba Falls are all nearby, offering fantastic waterfall views.

Enjoy the serenity of this cute cabin! We now have Wifi (June 2025)! While some guests may have minimal cell service, you can enable WiFi calling in settings on your cell phone and a short drive will bring you to full coverage.

Whether you’re hiking, swimming, biking, or simply relaxing in the crisp North Carolina mountain air, this peaceful retreat is the perfect place to unwind. We can’t wait to host you!

Our hosts were fantastic and had everything set up for a fun and relaxing weekend. We enjoyed their outside set up too, especially the fire pit and hot tub overlooking the mountain creek. We would definitely stay again!

We rent a cabin every Thanksgiving and this has been our favorite place! We had everything we needed to cook our meals and we were able to relax and unwind. Our dogs loved the property and we enjoyed the privacy. Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable...we could not ask for more.

It as peaceful as can be. Even my dog who is very anxious at home, is completely relaxed there. Has everything you need. Additional amenities such as hot tub, fire pit, and indoor and outdoor games although we just go for the solitude. Fonta Flora trail is a short ride at one end of the road. Many other trails to visit and Brown Mountain overlook within half hr to hr scenic drive from cabin. We just love it and will keep going back when we are able.

Great Cabin!

Get away from everyone

Not a person to be seen. When we were there the Linemen where working on the lines they were responsible for most of the traffic on the road no neighbors maybe 10 or 12 cars a day house is clean big kitchen and no cell service or Internet but sign up for star link and take it without.

Weekend getaway

We had an amazing weekend. Our 3 boys loved the creek in the back and we had a nice campfire and cooked smores! The cabin had everything we needed to make it a comfortable weekend. We enjoyed Lake James and hiking! The kids are already asking to go back!

Glad to be back!

It was so nice to come back to Bee At Peace. This place not only holds a special place in my heart that I shared with my late fiance, but it was amazing to come back for a few days and bring my kids, my nephews and mother in law to share the beauty of this place. Everyone insisted we needed to live here. I totally would! Nothing negative to say about this place.

Creekside stay in a quaint cabin

Our family of 5 and dog thoroughly enjoyed the stay at the creekside cabin. Having all the kids together in the bunk bed room went smoothly. Enjoyed the hot tub and all the yard games. Bring bug spray though if you'll be outside! Loved the open kitchen & living room. Appreciated the starter wood for the fire pit

Great place, no internet or cell service!

It was a beautiful stay. But beware not internet for cell service. They do seem to have a stink bug infestation, so they were flying around inside. Over all we loved the creek and secluded feeling.

Nice Weekend Retreat

The house was just as described in the listing. The hosts were very responsive. Be aware that there is no cell signal but there is a land line. The hot tub was nice. My husband was disappointed there was no Bigfoot. Can’t have everything.

A wonderful cabin!

Our family of 4 (kids ages 5 and 7) and our dog stayed for new years and absolutely loved the cabin. It is very remote and has no service but we enjoyed that. The yard is perfect for the kids to run wild (but the cabin is on a road so the dog couldn’t be off a leash like we hoped), hammocks outside to relax, hot tub was relaxing, and the creek is beautiful- everyone got in actually (except mama) despite the cold! We cooked each night and the kitchen had everything we needed. We hiked nearby (5 min drive) to fonta flora trail, went to downtown Morganton, and the cabin is only 30 min to Jonas ridge snow tubing and 50 min from banner elk where we saw snow and rode the alpine coaster. The cabin was clean and the layout is great, would very much recommend any family staying here!

Excellent Place To Stay!!

Our family of four and our two pups love this cabin and yard! This was our fourth time back, and it still was just as relaxing. We love the seclusion that this property brings. It’s like time slows down when we are there, and that’s what we love. It’s a great place to relax and read, but also has local hiking trails to enjoy too. Our 8.5 year old pups run and play like no other time when staying here. It’s like they even get rejuvenated! Our 7 and 5 year old kiddos love the cozy cabin and all the activities that’s provided by the home owner! The home owners are super sweet people, and are super receptive both prior to, during, and after our stays! It’s just a great place to stay! 😁
