Quiet Cottage in the Woods on the Edge of Town

This home has everything you need for a relaxing get away. Everything is designed with comfort and convenience in mind . The kitchen has everything needed to cook at home. The living room has a peaceful view of the woods and the wood stove / fireplace. The bedrooms are furnished with comfy bedding. The loft den overlooks the living room and provides a cozy spot to read a book or work on a puzzle. There is a three season porch and a spacious deck to enjoy the view of the woods. And the perenial garden provides a lovely place to sit and relax.

Care to be more active? We have hiking trails through the woods on the property. Carey lake park is just a mile down the road with hiking, boating, fishing, swimming, and cross country skiing in the winter. (Ski rental is available upon request.) There is a bike trail across the road and access to the Mesabi Bike Trail that runs from Virginia to Grand Rapids is within a couple miles. The Redhead Mountain Bike trail is 8 miles away. Historic North Hibbing, the Hull Rust Mine view, and the spectacular Hibbing High School are noteworthy sites and all within 5 miles.

We are open to a few more than 4 guests if they would be okay with a couch or air mattress. There is plenty of room to accommodate them.

Everything as advertised.

Over all everything was as advertised and we were very satisfied and felt welcomed. I felt that there was a slight issue for my wife and I in getting up to the entry way. Both of us have very minor mobility issues due to age advancements but nothing that, in our current condition, would keep us from returning. We did have a hard frost overnight and the painted deck was slippery. The owners might consider addressing this issue for late and early season guests. These are not complaints, just good intentioned observations.

One in charge!

Cozy little home in quiet location! Perfect location for us as we went out exploring every day putting on 1500 miles. Love that they had clean and nice linens as well as plenty of clean and fresh towels. Enjoyed the fall colors from all the views as well as a small fire every night in the wood burning stove!

Wonderful cottage!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning. The house was everything we were looking for and the screen porch and deck were perfect after 2 days of biking. Siri was one of the best VRBO hosts we've ever had and even greeted us with muffins and fresh honey from her hives.

Biking in Hibbing

Great place to stay for our bike trip on the Mesabi Trail. Clean, pretty, beautiful garden, spacious....we would definitely stay here again. Thanks for everything!

Relaxing time

Siri's cabin is lovely, clean and quiet. The cabin is spacious. The beds are comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and on the porch. There is a bike/walking trail across the street that goes into Hibbing. Kitchen is well equipped and great for cooking in. There was even some unexpected food treats. We will definitely stay here again.
