Prior to our arrival, I sent several messages and received no response. On our way to the property-almost 3 hours from home, I sent messages and called-no response. We didn’t receive an address or check in information until I called VRBO, 45 minutes AFTER we were supposed to check in-3:45. When we finally got the door code we made our way to the property and it hadn’t been cleaned. I called VRBO back and said we wanted a refund. The owner finally responded to a message with the code we had already received from VRBO. After multiple messages he responded the room was clean-26 minutes after we left it. I doubt someone could have done a thorough job in that amount of time. I booked a hotel room and asked for a refund. His response? Good luck staying with the roaches or something like that.
