Loved the floorplan of the house, the gorgeous outdoor space and fire pit, the beach, the sunroom area, and the location. Home is well-maintained and was very clean. "A perfect multigenerational family getaway. A nicely renovated property with first class furnishings and amenities. Main floor bedroom and full bath ideal for family with children or those that can’t use stairs. Private sandy beach easily accessible perfect for wading or swimming (kids loved it!). Owner provided beach chairs, canopy, umbrella and beach toys for kids were high quality and in great condition. Easy driving from Richmond or DC. Lovely and peaceful location. Highly recommended!"

"It was a nice get away for our wedding anniversary. We were able to bring our dogs and use the private strip of beach a couple of cottages away. This was a great quiet trip. The only thing that could have been better is the AC in the cottage. A window unit is provided but with 90 temps it couldn’t keep up."

"Property has lots of character and charm. We enjoyed the infinity pool, kayaking, crabbing from the dock and daily walks. The property is in a fairly remote location but we found that to be a plus. It was a great place to decompress and enjoy nature. The property owner was very responsive at booking and check-in. The only downsides to the property for us were that you had to walk through one bedroom to get the other bedroom and the WIFI was slow. Outside of that we really enjoyed our stay. "

"We had a fantastic stay at the Hideaway in Hays Beach. We were coming up to see our 93yr old Grandmother who lives about 45 minutes away. Our families rented two homes in the area and were able to enjoy our time with three generations that aren’t able to see each other often. The home was exactly as shown, perfectly decorated and incredibly well stocked! We’d absolutely come back!"
