The harbor view is off a fire escape, quirky and fun; ferries run every 15 minutes and sometimes you get a larger ship. There is a Salvation Army nearby; I'll leave it at that. "When we arrived there was construction happening next door with loud equipment and blowing dust clouds. This left outdoor areas unusable and very dirty. The garbage bins out front smelled like rotting fish and were crawling with maggots. Beware of very steep downward driveway. "The apartment was generally clean and tidy, with the amenities as advertised. There were a few issues, which were addressed promptly and graciously by the owner - this was appreciated. We found the owner to be a genuine and accommodating person. Since we were there for 5 nights, the only thing we felt that was missing from this place were drawers for storage of our clothes. Otherwise a very quaint and quiet place to stay. "

"This is a great property from a stay and enjoy the place option, to a jumping off point to see Nova Scotia.The house is very comfortable and the hosts go above and beyond to make your stay is all that you hoped for. The place is well stocked, including snacks, coffee and condiments. The beds are comfortable. and the setting is wonderful. Halifax is nearby. Highways to take you anywhere are only minutes away.I have had many VRBO experiences and I have never dealt with a better host."
