Newly built in 2017, the 2 bedroom, 962 sq ft, Chestnut Loft resides on the northern border of the Historic Downtown Hays district. From this 2nd story apartment loft, you can oversee all of downtown Hays, overlook many of the large stone churches, view the amazing Kansas sunset every evening, and wake up to the morning sun shining through your oversized picture window. This property is within walking distance of 2 parks, convenience stores, the entertainment, arts, dining, shopping, and business district of Downtown Hays as well as located along the Hays Bike Trail system. Looking to get to Fort Hays State University, it's under 5 minutes away!

The owners have done a really nice job creating the perfect place from which to explore Hays. Their attention to detail is impressive. The loft was extremely clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect...just a short walk to downtown.

Ww have travelled far and frequently during our life and my working career. This apartment is definitely in my Top 5! The level of cleanliness was on par with my Mother’s standards - ie 5 star Diamond plus level. The hosts are also very intentional about excellent air quality and no allergens in the apartment- so appreciated by the asthma sufferer in our group. The beds were comfortable! Very unusual for us to find beds as comfy as home. The grounds were lovely - literally a little Oasis. And the hosts were super friendly. We loved chatting with them. Lord willing - we will be back. Why would anyone stay in a hotel with this little gem as an option in Hays?

Great place in the heart of downtown Hays. James was very accommodating, and the property is beautiful. The yard area was sublime, very well manicured with a great seating area. The loft seemed brand new, with everything we needed.

Perfect Halfway meeting spot.

My son lives in Colorado Springs and I live in Kansas City. Hays is a perfect halfway meeting spot for us. We were able to meet for the weekend and stay here. The Condo was very clean, updated and comfortable. The owner was very quick at responding to any questions that I had. Wonderful time!

Super cute place!!

My mom and I thought the place was immediately clean, decorated adorably, and had very comfy beds. They had everything you would possibly need to cook in the cute kitchen. It was quiet and we both got a great night sleep. It was in a very safe neighborhood and across the street from the Fire department. The outside sitting area was a huge plus. We will definitely stay again!

Excellent Family Road Trip Stopover

We were taking a cross-country road trip, with a family of 4 (2 parents, 2 year old, 9 year old), and this was an excellent stopover on our way. The rooms were excellent, and the location was great for family -- just a few blocks from the nearest playground. Check-in instructions were straightforward and easy to follow, and the rooms were clean and well organized. We really enjoyed our stay in Hays, and would highly recommend!
