"Could use some better lighting in the home.We never were able to turn on the dining room light.We stayed here a few years ago and liked it so much we decided to stay again."

"We rented the house for just our family bc we liked that the house had a pool. The house is very large and spacious, everyone had own bed.It is in a good location to get to Volcano national park, Hilo and Mauna Kea.The views from the house ar amazing!Thank you for letting us enjoy it!"

"The Jungalow was beautiful and came with everything we needed for our group of 5. The location was perfect for our first visit to Volcanoes national park and other sights on the windward side of the big island. The wild chickens were the favorites for the grandkids. Would highly recommend and book again."

"Very tranquil location. It was nice to side on the deck and watch the waves.We enjoyed walking on the lavender to watch the sunrise and sunset.No stove but there was a 2 burner hot plate and toaster oven.You need to pay attention to the directions to find the Bali Temple property."

"Very private property and very quiet during the day (noisy at night from Coqui frogs but I slept fine with ear plugs). Lovely trees & flowers in the yard. Short drive to the park & restaurants. We enjoyed our stay. The host gave prompt responses & clear instructions. I would recommend the cottage."

"We loved this stay. The lookout perch was our favorite part. Especially in the morning for sunrise.If were ever back in Hilo, we would not hesitate to stay again."

"Great location near nice beach/park within minutes from downtown Hilo. Awesome manager communication with excellent local recommendations. Easy access, parking, and key elevator for secure building access. Only negative is there were many small bugs probably due to the closeness of the park and very loud traffic noise due to being on a main street."

"My husband and I stayed in this condo for 9 days and enjoyed every minute. First of all, Salt Water Vacations staff were wonderful. We had a local liaison introduce herself and was present for any concerns we might have had. They bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable. The condo was very comfortable and inviting. The bed in the main bedroom was so comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. We met many wonderful people there at Mauna Loa Shores. Big shout out to Mr. Gomez, the building...

"Location was fantastic. Beach was so beautiful and we loved being able to fall asleep to the sound of the waves. Easy drive into downtown Hilo. Property itself was as advertised and had everything we needed. The building is a bit run down, but the actual unit was nicely done. Property manager was very responsive. "

"The grounds were amazing. We were allowed to pick our own fruits like papaya, sapote, banana, mountain apple, avocado, cacao, etc. The property was clean and cozy, and the outdoor shower was very nice. Only downside was a couple of loud coqui frogs at night, and it was a bit of a drive to Hilo."
