  • Nuestra encantadora casa victoriana es un excelente lugar desde el cual explorar los South Downs. Rodeado de campo abierto en el borde de Hurstpierpoint con vistas vírgenes sobre un parque abierto con senderos públicos fuera de la puerta. La calle principal de Hurstpierpoint está a solo 10 minutos a pie de la cabaña, con una gran cantidad de tiendas, restaurantes y pubs. Mantenga a los niños entretenidos con una visita a Washbrooks Farm. Es una caminata de menos de media hora hasta la cima de Wolstonbury Hill, parte de South Downs, que se extiende a lo largo de millas sobre el Sussex Weald.

    Brighton está a solo 9 millas de la casa de campo con todas tus tiendas de High Street o si buscas boutiques independientes más exclusivas, ¡The Lanes es imprescindible! El zumbido del paseo marítimo con todo el entretenimiento al alcance de tu mano, impresionantes vistas al mar mientras das un suave paseo por el paseo marítimo.

    El espacio

    Esta encantadora casa de campo con cocina ofrece una experiencia tradicional del campo inglés. Acogedor en invierno y también un gran espacio soleado en verano. El establecimiento cuenta con cocina totalmente equipada, lavavajillas, lavadora y secadora.

    Área de comedor: hermosa mesa grande con capacidad para 6. Ideal para cenas grupales o reuniones familiares.

    Sal��n: sala de estar cómoda y bien equipada con amplios asientos y una grabadora de registro de buen tamaño para noches acogedoras. Sofá cama que es un pequeño doble para 2 personas.
    Tres dormitorios: dormitorio 1 - cama doble, dormitorio 2 - cama doble o camas individuales y dormitorio 3 cama individual, cada uno con mucho espacio de almacenamiento. Por favor, especifique si desea una doble o doble para el dormitorio 2.
    El jardín es grande y privado con un hermoso césped. Hay un patio muy soleado para grandes barbacoas que toma el sol todo el día hasta el atardecer durante los meses de verano.

    Danny Lodge está situado en los terrenos de la casa "Grand Designs" del propietario ubicada en un camino rural tranquilo (tenga en cuenta que la casa está al lado de nuestra casa). La cabaña está completamente administrada por Michelle y Rachael, quienes estarán disponibles para responder cualquier consulta que pueda tener durante su estadía. Peaceful and perfectly located for the South Downs

A well situated property, close to the town but in a very peaceful spot, which gave us easy access to the South Downs and some beautiful countryside. The property was well equipped and spacious and the arrangements for booking went like a dream. A real find for our short break!

Delightful cottage

This is a well equipped cottage which is in a rural position on the edge of the town, accessed by a short but unlit lane. It is a 15 minute walk into the High Street and there are plenty of countryside walks from the doorstep.

A week in Hassocks

Where to start! On arrival we could get the lock open and had to find the cleaning lady on the adjacent property. Parking is difficult, and there is a spike sticking out from the wall. To enter through the front door, you must first cross a muddy stream, and it is difficult to not track much into this property. The vestibule was a deposit area for UPS packages arriving and pretty much fill the space up. Finally it cleared by the end of the week. The property is actually on a small hill, though it looks like a flat road from the pictures. The surrounding area is actually quite beautiful. Hosts who truly care!

Exactly as described. A lovely English cottage in rural surroundings, but close to all the amenities of Hurstpierpoint and a short drive from Brighton. Comfortable living and dining rooms, well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Loved the crisp white linen sheets, the huge bath towels and the nice hot showers. Toys and books for our 4 year old grandson, lovely artwork on the walls, we felt totally at home and loved staying here. We felt as though the hosts really cared about us and hadn’t skimped on providing a home that had everything we needed. Thanks everyone.

Disappointing

We requested that the 2 single beds in the second bedroom be made into the King Size (we were offered this as an option). This did not happen so our friends had to sleep in single beds - it did not please them. The downstairs toilet light did not work so was out of action at night time. The upstairs shower was out of action because it leaked (we did know about that before). Communication with the agent was abysmal, she did not respond to messages. A stool and chair were broken on arrival. There were other problems which I have detailed and sent to the owners.

Great place to stay for lovely local walks

We really enjoyed our stay here. The lodge was quiet and secluded yet within walking distance of the high street at Hurstpierpoint. Well placed for visiting local attractions including Brighton which can be reached in 10 minutes from nearby Hassocks railway station. Best of all there are excellent walks straight out of the front door. Plenty of space for 5 adults.

What a Shame

We have been guests at many Home Away properties here and abroad and in many cases have returned on a fairly regular basis. Danny Lodge is sweet house in a nice location. We are a not so young couple and I was in Hassocks for reason of my job. The morning of the 9 June, the day I was travelling from Cirencester to set up a trade stand and see clients in the south east I received and email from our host which advised parking arrangements. It made reference to not parking on the drive to Danny House which I took on board. The rest of the note made no sense because I had never been there before. There is only one very small parking space with the cottage. The day of the exhibition I returned to the house with a car full of exhibition material in the evening, parked off the drive on some grass the far side of a cattle grid and took the dogs for a walk. I still could not fathom where the extra parking area was. I returned to find our host talking to my husband. She had come round and asked to be let in the front door. My husband explained there was no key which she hotly disputed but she then went away and returned with it. I was roundly told off for parking on the grass in the wrong place, so I suggested ( her partner is an architect so not a big ask) that it would be sensible to put a small plan in the email so that the parking area was clarified. The advisory note was not clear. I have to say I was a little surprised to find our bedroom, the largest on of the three with a large bed looked out on to a wall of shingles which are about a metre away. I raised this point and the response was that we should have slept in the other bedrooms. One of these rooms had a single bed and the other smaller double. In fact when we booked a colleague was coming with us and staying so it was a somewhat puzzling response. Our host advised that this shows on one of the photographs. In my experience finding a shingle wall as your view is a little odd. The cottage has no emergency lighting. The description describes the house as being ' next to' the owners property but is in fact a totally connected part of it separated by a hall. Our host called me rude and arrogant which is fine. We left the cottage clean and very tidy. The follow up was a totally unjustified deduction of £40 from the £200 deposit as punishment. I don't think we have any wish to return!

Great!

Wir hatten dieses kleine Haus am Rande von Hassocks ausgesucht, da es wunderbar am Rande des Nationalparks liegt und wir wunderbar direkt vom Haus aus mit dem Hund laufen konnten. Das Haus selbst ist mit viel Liebe hergerichtet, es ist alles da , was das Herz begehrt, wir haben in den Betten wunderbar geschlafen! Die Haus-Manager halfen bei jeder Frage sofort. Weiterer Vorteil: man ist mit dem Zug in 10 Minuten in Brighton und in 40 Min. mit dem Gatwick Express in London. So haben wir das Land genossen konnten aber auch die Städte sehr leicht erreichen. Wir können dieses Objekt grenzenlos empfehlen!!Wir kommen vielleicht zurück- Südengland bietet so viel
