"We celebrated 50th birthday at Trails End Ranch and had an absolutely amazing time. The property is beautiful and so many amenities that everyone, teen, young adults and older adults all enjoyed. Walmart was only about 30-40 minutes away so able to grab needed items to cook on one of the many grills and in the completely furnished kitchens. Highly recommend staying at the ranch for your next friend/family gathering. We will definitely be back!!! "

"We brough 5 kids and 2 dogs to the Hickory House and had a fabulous time! The home is perfect, exactly what you need for a stay. We were sampling as many BBQ places as we could. Great walking distance to downtown Lockhart. Short drive to places that are too far to walk in the summer. Owners were fabulous. Very easy check in and check out. No onerous requirements for checking out. We will look forward to doing it again. "

"Check in was super easy. Property was as advertised. Amenities were beyond great. Hershel & Becky were terrific hosts. The kitchen was equipped with any and everything you would ever need. The house & property were very clean. The pool was a definite highlight of this property. The outdoor kitchen with the sink, ice maker & refrigerator was a great added touch. We highly recommend Mesquite Retreat for any family looking for an awesome property. We especially liked the secluded location...

"This place is a treasure! We loved our stay! We came with our 3 adult children and two dogs. The house was very clean and all the essentials were provided. We caught too many fish to count even though it rained a lot! We were super excited to find a kayak there too, bonus! Communication with the host was easy and they responded super quick and were very pleasant & helpful with all our questions. We hope to come again very soon!"
