"I only picked this hotel because I was bribing my grandsons for a football tournament in the area and this hotel said free breakfast. Once I checked in and asked about it I was told they were under renovation and would not not have breakfast. Also surprisingly in the rooms, there was no refrigerator, microwave or coffee pot. "We were so pleased! The beds were very comfortable and the staff did quite a good job cleaning each day. Location was good for visiting Chicago...about a 30 minute drive. There were restaurants and drug store close by, and gas was cheaper than in the city. Highly recommend!"

"First thing you'll notice are the smelly carpets in the hallway. It's a "no dog" hotel but smells like a dog kennel. We didn't find insects or hair but it does give off that unclean vibe. At least the beds were comfortable. Breakfast consists of bread slices and coffee."

"For sure 3 out of 4 rooms I was shown had visible and you could smell the MOLD. The 4th one you couldn't see but could smell mold. I'm highly allergic and suffer with asthma! "I honestly do not know how this hotel is operating at the price point they are charging. I checked in during a sold-out weekend in Chicago and paid nearly the same price I later paid at a much nicer DoubleTree, which made this experience even more disappointing. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt uncomfortable and unsafe. The hallways, rooms, and overall condition of the property gave very little confidence in cleanliness or upkeep. "It's obvious there is a shortage of hotels that allow pets, as there were many here. The staff was pleasant, and everything was clean- which is much appreciated. The hotel needs some updates badly. The population of guests was unsavory. Marijuana reeked on the premises. It was a, you get what you pay for, experience. I'd not opt to repeat the stay unless no other options are available. Stinks to not be able to travel with your pet without downgrading your accommodations."
