"The dog, Reacher, is super friendly. Water is only rain water so must be used sparingly. The little space is great for a short stay but would be cramped for extended periods. Beautiful garden with little pond right on your doorstep, but careful of wasps. "

"Amazing place to stay with amazing hosts. Close enough to walk to the CBD if you are prepared and brave enough to conquer/tackle the uphill on the way back. For me it was perfect preparation to running the Knysna Forest Marathon. The room has everything one requires and more: WiFi, hairdryer, fridge, kettle, heater, shower and small touches such as OBS and snacks on arrival as well as a torch in case of a power failure or emergency. "Very friendly owners who gave me some ideas on what to see and where to go, very helpful. Nice room, clean and has all you need for an overnight stay. I stayed up stairs with a view of the water. Property just out of town so you would need transport or Uber if you wanted to eat and drink in town. Would stay again, if I was coming back to South Africa."

"We had an amazing visit to South Villa Guesthouse. Christa and Hentie went above and beyond to make our stay special. So many special little touches. They truly love the area and gave us a great recommendation for dinner as well. So pleasant speaking with them. We felt like we were staying in their home.
