"Loved my stay But, it is rustic No A/C. Accommodations are basic. My opinion, advertised as such. I was quite happy with - wife not so much. Central to everything in wonderful Hana. Loved mornings and evenings on the porch. The grounds are fantastic, even if off the beaten path. Near to the fabulous State and National parks. Be sure to reserve your visit to the State park well in advance I found very comfortable without A/C - wife didn’t. Always a nice breeze - needed a blanket at night....

"Really enjoyed staying in Hana one night to give us more time and keep us from feeling rushed on the Road to Hana tour. Not having to drive there and back in one day felt so good. The unit at Hana Kai Maui was very spacious compared to the hotel where we stayed in Lahaina, and we had a great view of a black sand beach (not the famous black sand beach, but another one) and ocean. We walked out to the beach in the morning to catch the sunrise. I would definitely stay again, but there's one thing...
