"The property was spotless. The room was a lot smaller than we imagined, but we didn’t spend much time in it anyway. I recommend this place for a quick visit, otherwise you’d feel cramped with two people. The common area didn’t feel inviting, just two desks and a kitchen with no seating area. I would prefer a couch instead or at least some chairs for the kitchen island, so that there is somewhere else to spend some time, because in the bedrooms there’s just a bed and the little kitchen is a step...

"Originally, I found this little gem while I was searching for accommodation around the Port Townsend area with two beds (two friends traveling, not a couple). I like to stay at places that are a little different, I read the reviews here, and decided to book it. Our little cabin was spotless. Super clean. The towels were fresh and fluffy. "Great place to stay if wanting to be close to downtown! The only thing I would change is the spider webs in the backyard makes it difficult to enjoy the beautiful yard. The light in the bathroom seems to flicker and turn off and the fan is delayed when there is anything plugged in. The place was clean and the host is very communicative! I would definitely stay again. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at Phinneywood Basement Hideaway. We slept very well. The property was easy to access and the rental was well equipped with kitchen items for cooking at home, and had plenty of bathroom accessories (towels & toilet paper). It was well lit at night and best of all, it was very affordable for our six-day stay. We hope to be back!"
