Perfect for a romantic getaway or a family vacation, this comfortable, rustic home is surrounded by tropical foliage in charming Hanalei. Beautiful vaulted ceilings in the living area. 2 bedroom home with 2 bathrooms. The fully equipped kitchen will make meal preparation easy when you prefer to eat at home. You may want to check out Kauai's Sunshine Markets in a different town each weekday for fresh, local produce to include in your island-inspired creations. Take a 5 minute stroll to Historic Hanalei town for several nearby restaurants for sushi, pizza, Hawaiian plate lunch and live Hawaiian entertainment.

Activities nearby: 5 minute walk to seasonal swimming in the bay, snorkeling, diving and sightseeing, boat tours along the Na Pali Coast, kayaking on the Hanalei River. 15 minutes from wet/dry caves, Ke'e Beach, hiking trail-head into Kalalau Valley. 10-minute drive to Princeville golf, tennis, athletic club, shopping center, restaurants and horseback riding.

Half way between the beach and town

The cottage was a great place for my family to stay for a week in Hanalei. Once we parked at the house, we didn't use our house again; we walked to the beach and walked to town. It's a great central location that's quiet.

Get a working Dishwasher

Dishwasher doesn’t work. Outdoor shower is not private and the neighbors are always out working in their yard. Not the best experience to be on display for your neighbors. Safety issue for young children in the yard. Cockroaches found a number times in the kitchen. Floors felts dirty. Shower curtain falls when you want to shower inside. First bedroom is very hot. SUPPLY MORE FANS.

Awesome Hanalei Stay

We loved this rental! The kitchen is very well equipped, the bed is very comfortable, the living room is great to hang out in. The place was clean and had all the beach toys we needed. The location is perfect! It's almost exactly half way between 'town' and the beach. It's an easy to both. Hanalei is a great town! The beach is amazing and we loved the creative food trucks. Make sure to visit Holey Grail Donuts! We found the staff at Kauai vacations very responsive, friendly and helpful.

Location and stay was great. The dishwasher, the fan in the kitchen and some ant issues need to be addressed, but otherwise a perfect spot close to the beach and town.

Great location. Mattress is very uncomfortable though. But everything else is great. Roosters willl wake you up too early but that is Kauai for ya. Perfect right between beach and town. Would stay here again.

Perfect place for a private honeymoon

The location is perfect, nestled just far enough away from the town and main road that it’s quiet, but everything (including the beach) is a couple minute walk away. The vegetation surrounding the house gives privacy from the neighbors. The pictures do not do fully capture how spacious the interior is, and the Hosts at the rental agency provide virtually everything you’ll need there! It gave us the perfect home for our honeymoon, and we cannot recommend it enough!

Perfect location: one block to town, one to sea

This house is on a wonderfully quiet street ( note: Hanalei, perhaps all Kauai, has early wake-up calls from stunning but vocal resident- roosters, so bring earplugs!) and completely surrounded by beautiful vegetation & birdsong . Some previous guest’s complaint about no privacy is perplexing. You can ( and should?) strip down all your wet, sandy clothesline at front door, which is EXTREMELY private; master bathroom has frosted glass and no one can see into master bedroom. Second bedroom has a lanai with no curtains but house across street is at angle and far away. Wonderful, screened in lanais are great for sipping cocktails and pupus, but no real outside eating area other than street side picnic table, tho kitchen table is convenient, large and pleasant view. We noticed, at least this time of year mid-May, master bedroom and especially master bathroom much warmer (10°-15° degrees) than spare bedroom ( 2 twin beds) and bath, so give that room to the cold-blooded of you. Overall a wonderful experience and would happily return in the future. PS two photos on website aren’t current & slightly confusing with remodel of house: spare bedroom has no closet and 2 twin beds and master bathroom doesn’t have step up jacuzzi, but a nicer, low rise step into very nice shower.

Amazing Hanalei Hale

This is an incredible little home within walking distance of Hanalei and the beach. We enjoyed waterfall views from the dining table and being so close to the most beautiful place on earth! Thank you!

Exceptional location! Block away from both beach and town. Lots of living space with cool vaulted ceilings. Having to pickup and drop off keys was a little bit of a nuisance. Overall, fantastic experience.

Awesome house!

We had the best time staying at this rental house. The location can’t be beat, 5min from the beach, 2min from Hanalei Center, in a cute little street. Very quiet and peaceful, we loved making our own meals in the kitchen with the incredible views of the mountains. Beds are a bit hard and kitchen could use more condiments than salt and pepper. We will definitely remember this place and keep it in mind when we come back! Sad to leave but grateful to have stayed there a wonderful week!

The house is very comfortable and ideally located near town and beach.

You cannot beat morning walks along Hanalei Bay with rainbows and serenity of the sound of the surf. This house is perfect place to decompress and quickly get into the island vibe. The rooms are well laid out and comfortably furnished and the view from the dining area in the kitchen are spectacular. It gets hot and humid in summer afternoons, but fans help circulate air and screened porches offer some relief in the hottest part of the day. We would come back here as it is perfect place to enjoy all that Hanalei has to offer. Laundry is an added plus.

Family vacation

Wonderful family vacation in Hanalei staying at Hale Tatahi. The house was way better that expected. Large living areas, nice kitchen space, items for the beach like chairs and umbrella and boogie boards, and perfect location half way between beach and town. We would definitely go back to this house and would recommend to anyone looking for a laid back family vacation.

Cute little place! A little dated on the inside but great location and very homey.

We loved our stay and had a great experience despite catching the tail end of hurricane Lane. The house was as expected, no complaints. The furniture/interior could use a little updating, but overall we'd stay here again in a heartbeat! Great experience.
