  • Freshly updated in 2024! Enjoy all that Paris has to offer from this charming, newly renovated home backing on to the Nith River. A stones throw from downtown, yet boasting a quiet yard with river access, you could not ask for a better place to get away. We are an extremely short walk (less than 4 minutes!) from the Arlington, Paris Brewery, the Paris Inn, Stillwaters, the Cobblestone Pub and more! Only a half block from Wincey Mills market! Enjoy the charming shops without starting your car, which is parked right in the 3-car drive. Walk to the town's largest park with picnic space and miles of trails for hiking and biking. Serene and bright decor and all the comfort! Come and see all that Paris has to offer, from the world-famous Paris Fair, to Springtime in Paris, to Jinglebell night... take in community theatre, or for the adventurous, rent a canoe or tube for a trip down the Grand River that you'll never forget!

Very pleasant and clean. We enjoyed having access to the river right in the backyard, and watching the water flow over the rapids. The location is perfect for visiting the shops and restaurants of downtown Paris. An easy walk to all the quaint attractions of this lovely town.

Great location and house

The house was clean, tidy and well equipped. We loved the location as it was an easy walk to the downtown area where there were many restaurants and shops.

This was a lovely home away from home. Came to visit family and it was so woderful to have room to invite them for coffee. Looking forward to coming again. Would recommend

The place was dirtier and more dishevelled than it should have been; old coffee grounds still on the coffee maker from another time; windows and mirrors greasy and smudged, mugs with coffee stains/residue on the rims and dripping onto cupboard shelf; door off hinges for the closet near the front door; no garbage bags on the garbage cans/ some garbage in the bathroom can from earlier; old toothpaste and debris in bathroom cabinets; no soap in bathroom to wash your hands, and so on. Otherwise, great location for a trip to Paris

Girls weekend

We really enjoyed Sam’s sweet little cottage on the river right in the heart of downtown Paris! Comfortable and bright. Easy access to everything we needed and didn’t know we wanted until we arrived.

My cousin and I stayed for three nights and had an amazing time. We loved the back yard during the afternoon and evenings, and the space inside was perfect for us to catch up, eat, sleep, etc. I would highly recommend Sam's place. She was very accommodating.

The location is fantastic for exploring downtown Paris- the river is right there as are the parks, shops, restaurants, cafes, etc.The house layout and basic amenities met our needs for this visit, however we did have to get past the lack of cleanliness. We had to pull our baby's toys out from under the couch more than once and it was not a pleasant experience. We also opted to buy drinking water rather than drinking the water from the dirty kitchen tap, and we didn't use the tub to bathe our baby. The place would greatly benefit from a professional clean especially considering the price.That said, the owner generously accomodated our early check in and late check out which we really appreciated. We had a nice time exploring the area and overall enjoyed our stay.

Cozy house & great location!

This is a lovely home for anyone visiting Paris and the surrounding area, and we would be very happy to return ourselves on a future trip! The house is comfortable, cozy, and well equipped with everything you need for an easy stay - we particularly appreciated how well set up the kitchen was with cookware, and there were plenty of towels and bathroom amenities provided. The location is fantastic, just steps from the main street and Grand River, making it a perfect spot to explore from. We appreciated the great communication with the host, and the check-in / check-out process was very easy. We were visiting to attend a wedding, and only wish we had planned a longer stay!
