THE HOME

Our home sits on a private 13 acres of wooded land just West of town center of Hamilton, Montana. Our home is gorgeous and features 6000 square feet of finished living space. It is a hand built home with extraordinary craftsmanship that utilizes wood throughout. You will marvel at the massive hand hewn exposed posts and beams. The home is nestled away in the woods on the edge of the Bitterroot National Forest and yet only a short 5 minute drive to the town of Hamilton. We purchased this home in 2010 and did a near full remodel as well as extensive landscaping to give the home a unique one of a kind design and feel. The home features numerous decks and patios two of which are private and attached to the two expansive master suites. This gives guests great wildlife viewing options from both community areas of the home or the privacy of their own suite. Each master has an oversized ensuite bathroom both featuring huge dual head showers and jet baths. We often travel with extended family and the two luxury masters are great for hosting two branches of an extended family. The home features a gourmet kitchen that is equipped with all the appliances you will need to serve fabulous meals. The 30 foot high cathedral ceilings in the great room create a marvelous atmosphere for family and friends to gather and unwind after a busy day of adventure in the area. This room centerpiece is a beautiful riverstone gas operated fireplace. You guests will love this space. In addition to the main floor fireplace room your guests will also love the very spacious dining area that we have equipped to handle a total of up to 20 people. There is also a beautiful loft overlooking the great room with a private TV viewing area. The lower level of the home has a spacious family room that is great for family movie night. The home has beautiful grounds to walk on and features some great landscaping and gardens. You will love the sunken garden and the terrace overlooking the woods. We often host small weddings in our gardens. The home features air conditioning and is very comfortable year round.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

The home features a total of 6 spacious bedrooms. There are the two Master Suites with California King super comfortable pillow-top beds one on each floor of the home. The main floor has a second bedroom with a very comfortable pillow-top Queen sized bed and the 3rd bedroom on the main level has two very comfortable single beds. The second and third bedroom share a spacious bathroom. The lower walkout floor level of the home features in addition to its private suite a second bedroom with a California King and another spacious bedroom with two large and very comfortable Queen beds. The second and third bedrooms on the lower level share a spacious common bath. In addition there are sofa beds throughout the home to provide additional guest accomodation. This home can comfortable sleep 20 people

AREA ACTIVITIES

The Bitterroot Valley is a hidden American treasure trove of outdoor activity possibilities year round. The area boasts some of the best fly fishing in the USA being located on the famous Bitterroot River. Our home is a few minutes drive away from the river. Trailheads for hiking in the beautiful Bitterroot Mountains. located just behind our home, abound and several are walking distance . Just across the valley and viewable from our home are the beautiful Sapphire Mountains and as the name implies you can go Sapphire hunting in these mountains. In summer months you might want to try white water rafting on the Clark Fork River, the Blackfoot River or the Bitterroot River. We love the Clark Fork River as it provides a beginner to intermediate level white water rafting experience. Or you can just keep it simple and go for a swim in beautiful Lake Como. It has a beautiful beach and is surrounded by mountains. A great way to relax and cool off in the hot summer months.

In the Winter months you will definitely want to go to Lost Trail Powder Mountain Ski Resort if you are a skier or snowboarder. This is another hidden Montana gem. Shish, Do not tell any body but there are virtually no lift lines and the lift tickets are unbelievably affordable. The ski runs are fabulous and will test every level of skier. You may also want to rent a snowmobile and go check out the mountains up close in the winter. There are numerous options for groomed snowmobile trails and guides available for every level.
