"I arrived in the middle of the team’s Diwali celebrations and felt awful (they’d closed the bar for a few hours), however the team were so welcoming and friendly, and made me feel at home. Room was immaculate, quiet and comfy bed. Parking easy and off the road, so felt secure. Excellent freshly cooked full English was delicious Will stay again, and next time eat at the restaurant as the food smelled wonderful!"

"This is the fourth time at the Prince Rupert and it doesn't disappoint. A proper traditional hotel with lovely staff and offering a glass of sherry on arrival. Very good traditional breakfast, but a variety of healthy options available too. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, with an off-site parking area that can be completely full when you get there, so you need to find an alternative yourself. "Lots of healthy or hearty options for breakfast .staff wonderful. Gardens were lovely if only it was summer. Paying car park next to hotel. Plenty of dining places. Rooms were stylish. Definitely a womans touch and thought had gone into the rooms"

Taxi into Shrewsbury town was £10 and 15 - 20 minutes. The staff at the Riverside Inn are its greatest asset, polite, friendly, knowledgeable bout the local area, made time to chat and had everything you needed for a pleasant stay. "
