"The room was superb with great shower and bathroom. Restaurant & Bar had great food and excellent wines. Lovely staff also."

"There were no hand towels in the room. One toiler roll. The bin in the bathroom had not been emptied from previous guest. Towel rail did not work. They run out of white bread in the morning and only one kipper left for breakfast. Totally understaffed. Such a shame not a patch on the previous owners."

"It felt like home. A short walk to the bus depot gave me access to all surrounding sites, or an easy 25 minute walk to city centre. Tea and coffee, juice and bread on hand. Two friendly dogs that were all talk at first became friends during the first encounter."

Stayed here before and the function room and some areas are looking neglected we understand the roof needs replacing on the function room and that there are plans in progress shorty. Needs some love to restore the curb appeal around the check in entrance to give a better first impression. Enjoyed our stay here and good value for money."

"This was my third stay at the Sir Alfred Munnings Hotel, and each stay has been perfect. The location is rural enough to be away from the hustle and bustle, whilst close enough to neighbouring towns. The staff were welcoming and accommodating throughout my stay, and I’ll definitely book to stay again in the future."

"Property looks dated and in need of a modern upgrade. The hotel t is clean anc the staff was exceptionally good and helpful The location is great - near the Train Station and good restaurants. The breakfast was good and plentiful."
