Summer kickoff getaway

Our stay we awesome. The house was sufficient and the air conditioners get the bedrooms really cold. The beach directly behind the house is nice but there is a steep drop in the beach that makes it not conducive for swimming. You need to walk down a bit to get to a usable area. Not an issue for us. The location is great and allowed easy access to everything on the north shore. I only gave 4 stars for communication bc I was confused on who I was communicating with as there seemed to be multiple people and numbers.

Amazing location

First time in hawaii so im not sure in an apples-to-apples consideration how picky we were being about the property. Unit is upstairs above garage. So not handicap friendly. Washer/dryer under unit stairs outside. Dryer is coin operated.A/c units made one bedroom very musty. Did not smell until we turned it on.

Didn't Stay but Quick to Help

I had booked this property but apparently the property was double booked and so an alternative location was presented as a fix. The alternative location was great, near the same area, still fit our group of 5 and the stay was for the cost we had been charged for this property. I'm giving 5 stars because they owned the double booking mistake and made sure to fix it so I was pleased and did so quickly. What could have been a stressful experience for me was made easy to deal with.

Surfer's paradise off Rock Piles, by Pipeline

This location on the North Shore was a perfect spot for my retired surfer and I to spend time watching the waves off Rock Piles, Pipeline, Back Door and log cabins. Steps to the beach and easy access to all the best surf spots on this stretch of beach. We were there days before the famous Pipeline competition in January and got to see many world-class surfers practicing all week.Management had great communication. This was not our first choice and a scheduling conflict pushed us to this upstairs apartment. I have to say, we loved this location better than the one we originally chose. The apartment had everything we needed including beach chairs, masks, fins, beach mat and sand toys etcIndividual mini-splits made each room super comfortable as needed.The bed in the 2nd bedroom might be ok for kids, but not enough support for an adult, but the other bed was good. We'd definitely stay again!

Banzai surf escape was pretty good

The location on the beach is amazing and the accommodations were comfortable. 2 minor notes (minor, like we didn't really care, but some customers might): the fitted sheets on the bed kept coming off. I don't know why they weren't a good fit, maybe the elastic was just worn out, but almost every night we woke up partially touching the sticky plastic mattress cover, which wasn't great on warm nights. Also, the unit had very little silverware. There was only a handful of forks and spoons and a few chop sticks left by previous guests. A few more utensils would have been nice. We made do, but a larger group would have been eating with their fingers lol! The owner Chuck is awesome and was a warm and friendly host who gave us good suggestions for beach and hiking. And again, the beach is RIGHT THERE, so that's awesome. Big Mahalo to Chuck and fam.

Banzai blooper

Bait and switch, we reserved a beach front property only to be placed in one that had no view and yard torn up due to construction. If it wasn’t Hawaii I’d have taken legal action but still deceptive rental practices are duly noted, very disappointing.
