"It is difficult to fault Kilkea Castle as every aspect of the property impressed. The little things therefore matter and small faults in maintenance, which should be dealt with in a luxury property, tend to stand out more. However, that is digging into the fine detail. So, first impressions carried through from first stepping inside with a warm welcome, the engaging housekeeping staff and superbly professional dining/breakfast room staff. On site activities are a nice touch and worth looking at....

"The guesthouse is nice enough but the staff were standoffish to begin with. There was an unexpected extra charge for my dog to stay. They had their large dogs roaming freely, which was intimidating to nervous dogs on leads. The shower in our room was old and complicated to use. I forgot an expensive orthopaedic pillow at the guesthouse and requested it to be sent to me. The owner assured me he had it, charged me €35 and sent an old battered cushion with no cover at a cost of €9. Overall the stay...

"Family atmosphere and friendly front desk staff! Several meals in the restaurant. Really enjoyed the BEEF BOURGUIGNON and I have to admitted I took my dessert of Creme’ Brûlée to my room two nights in a row! Delicious!!! Very accessible to the Glendalough Monastic Site and the many hiking trails in Wicklow Mountains National Park. A bit off season so staff were seen working in all areas…great people! Loved my cozy corner room with a desk and really comfy bed! Happy 55th Birthday to me -2026!"

"Super Lage zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten/ Wanderungen, Zimmer gemütlich eingerichtet (groß genug für 4 Personen), Bad toll (vor allem die Dusche) und alles sauber! Lediglich das Frühstück sollte im Preis enthalten sein (kam extra), das war bei anderen B& Bs auf unserer Reise anders… Thank U"
