"Nicest house that we have stayed at in Hackberry - and we have stayed at a countless number of them around Big Lake, especially this particular area. Everything was immaculate and in excellent condition. Owner went above and beyond to ensure perfection as well. Definitely plan to rent this house again in the fall. "

" Great amenites. Canal was perfect for kids crabbing. Boathouse held my 18ft skiff well. We had a great time. Will do this again!"

"I definitely recommend this location. It was a beautiful home. I have never stayed in a place that had every single thing you needed minus the food, of course. The cabin was beautiful, very clean The host response to you very quickly. The only thing I wish was different was a closer location to go fishing something walking distance But besides that I would definitely stay at this location again "

"Beautiful home, and right on the canal. The house had absolutely everything we needed, and the ice maker downstairs was just an added bonus. We can't wait to return and stay again."

"This home was amazing … super clean ( and I clean VRBOs on Toledo Bend so I notice these things ) . It had absolutely everything we needed and more … loved the view and fishing .. even our dog Scrappy didn’t want to leave … he loved the fenced in yard and screened porch … I have to add the beds were so comfortable and it was great AC after a long day at the beach ….we will definitely be back "

"We really liked the house. It was very nice and clean, inside & out. It had everything we needed to get through our weekend, beds were comfortable and the A/C worked great. The launch and dock were nice and the canal allowed easy access to the lake. Communication with Mr. Wright was also great as he answered on the first ring when I had to call and ask him to unlock the house, when we locked the keys inside. We’d definitely stay here again. "

"The house was clean and spacious. The private pier was very nice to fish off of. The host was easy to communicate with and would respond almost immediately with any questions or needs. We will be back. "

"It was great. Lost power for a bit due to construction and then again due to a storm, not the host’s fault. I do suggest bringing a flash light, incase this happens to you. Watching the storm from the sun room was a huge unexpected experience. "

"Along with my siblings and our spouses. We had a wonderful time at this River House! It was beautiful, so clean and had lots of amenities. We enjoyed the covered docks on the river and did lots of fishing. Our suggestion: we are elderly, ages 59 to 75 years. The Queen bedroom had an unsafe doorway entrance that required a giant step over the threshold to leave the room. It was very unsafe at night to go to the bathroom. We were not made aware of this. "

"Awesome house just as advertized!!! The pier was awesome we caught sting rays,drums,gaftop,croakers,alligator gar.Someone had a fish on almost the whole day. We used shrimp and shad we caught with a cast net. Great trip hope we can go back one day."
