"The hotel was fine, staff were friendly however they checked us into a room that was definitely not cleaned properly as I found used alcohol pads and someone’s dirty underwear and shirt in the drawer. The shower still had shampoo on the wall from the previous user. As the hotel was “sold out” they could not switch my room , but did give me all new linens. The hotel is a little outdated and has some cosmetic issues but what hotel doesn't. We stayed for the Steelers 1st preseason game and it was an easy walk to the stadium. "The hotel is a very short walk to UPMC Shadyside which is why I booked it. The breakfast was hot and delicious. There's a good variety and it's complete. There are places to eat and drink within half to three quarter miles that were an easy walk. And a diner only a couple blocks away."

"Stayed for 2 nights and overall had a great experience. The room was very spacious and updated, the staff was very kind, and the amenities were nice to have, althoigh we definitely underutilized them. Only complaint was that both days, the new towels left for us by housekeeping as part of daily cleaning were dirty (pretty obviously, not just a stray hair or something), but the front desk staff gave us new ones and solved the problem"
