"This place is our go-to hotel always when we stay in the Chicago area. It’s quiet, has a great staff, and is close to coffee shops, bakeries, and restaurants in Evanston, IL, and also within walking distance to Lake Michigan. The nice-size rooms and even the on-site parking costs a fraction of what Chicago hotels charge. If it’s snowing in the winter we can leave our car and walk just a few steps to the elevated train (Dempster, purple line) to ride to the city. Close to Northwestern U and...

"Breakfast was just ok. The room was small and the setup was odd so it made moving around a little challenging. Staff didn’t keep things replenished but when asked if there was more they did get it for us. The rooms were nice and roomy and even tho Expedia’s room description showed that a sofa bed was included, turns out it was not, but the hotel gave us a room upgrade to accommodate at no additional cost. Overall very pleased with our stay!"

"It was just completely horrible there I mean it's run down and it didn't look like it was cleaned for a long time the laundry room was really dark and was connected to the main lobby the rooms smell kind of moldy and just generally unappealing. I didn't stay for more than ten minutes. I let him keep the deposit. It was horrible. "

When I said we had a reservation he said "no you do not". I have never experienced such blatant disrespect in a professional setting.
