Showcasing beautiful views, a fire pit near the rear of the house, and so much more, this is the perfect place to book your next family vacation! This precious cottage is perfect for you and your family to experience the best of Lake Huron! There are a total of 6 cottages on this beachfront property, and this listing is for cabin number 6.     Whether you are traveling for family fun, passing through, or looking to rent while you are working in the area, Lake Huron Cottages are perfect for you! This location is perfect for seasonal activities, as we have listed below. Being located near many activities does make it tempting to leave the property, but our cozy cottages and fun onsite amenities might make you want to stay during your entire vacation!

    Mayfly season usually occurs near bodies of freshwater between June and August. At some point each summer, these insects will hatch, fly, and mate within 48 hours before dying.

Clean and Convenient

Bed in master bedroom very comfortable. Easy to access from highway. Convenient overnight stay while in town for winter family event.

Fantastic Cottage on Lake Huron

The cottage was wonderful, cozy, and comfortable. The location was fantastic, nice and secluded, but a quick and scenic drive if you need to get to town. The staff were friendly and always checking if we needed anything. We’ll be back!

Best girls trip in a while!

5 of us girls take a summer weekend vacay and this year we wanted to lay on the beach all weekend. This cabin was perfect! Property owner very helpful and super nice. We will definitely be returning next year!!

Very outdated- pictures must have been from a long time ago. 5 people and only 3 chairs at kitchen table, had games but not all pieces ( only 1 out of 5 dice) Other cottages must have taken the outdoor chairs & Kayaks so didn’t have access to those either. The closeness to beach was great/ sauna was nice and outdoor games were good.

Northern Break

It’s a good location to do everything Northern east coast from Mackinac Island to Tawas and points inland. The cabin is spacious enough and the beds are comfortable. The bathroom is very small, but you don’t want to spend a lot of time in there anyway. Communication with the host was/is excellent and timely. The screen on the door needed repair when we arrived, but I contacted the host to inform them that it was like that when we arrived, so all was good. We enjoyed the beach, Oscoda, Tawas, and Alpena are all nearby and have lots to do and see. From Lumberman’s Monument, Iargo Springs, Kayaking, and the Sky Bridge, all within a couple hours… it can’t be beat.

Great Location, "Rustic" amenities

Starting from the outside in, the property looked a bit unmaintained. I don't think any of the grass has been mowed this year. Not necessarily a problem, but the inside felt a bit similar. There was a paper right inside the door explaining about some well water chlorine disinfection that took place 10 days prior. The paper said an additional test was required to ensure all the chlorine was neutralized and to not use the water for drinking, washing, etc. Nothing confirmed whether the water was safe or not. The bathroom was also entirely different from the pictures on the listing. There was no tub, just a 3-foot square shower stall that was rather claustrophobic, especially for tall people. The rest of the bathroom wasn't much better. It was very cramped, barely enough room to get dressed or change. Out in the kitchen, there was a stove, but no pots or pans to cook in. The bedrooms were clean, and the matresses were comfortable. The property itself butted up to the beach with easy access. That was probably the best part! Like I said in the title, great location, but some of the amenities were a bit rough.

Add said 3 bbedroome sleeps 6, place was great i just think a living room couch should not be told as a 3rd bedroom, 3 bedrooms i considered pullout an extra just incase , that being said no one showed up and it was very nice and cheaper than anyone else for a 4 bedroom, or less even, will definitely be back
