"Before check in the host was kind and incredibly communicative. Upon check out they asked how our stay was and I wrote them a message saying I’d rather discuss this before leaving a bad review but they left me on read… When we arrived there were so many unhoused folx outside the apt we didn’t feel safe entering. we literally saw a woman being chased/harassed while we were pulling up. If I wasn’t with my partner I would’ve had to cancel due to feeling unsafe. I have no bad feelings about unhoused...

"Friendly Cottage was beyond amazing for my week long getaway with my 2 daughters. The location and views can’t be beat and the house was perfectly laid out and equipped with everything we needed. We lucked out with incredible weather so found ourselves on the beach almost every morning and evening. We can’t wait to come back!"

"The property was in an excellent location. Close to Congress Street, and within walking distance to downtown Portland, the Old Port and Deering Oaks Park. Comfortable beds, clean towels and a well equipped kitchen. Late check out and a parking space provided for an extra fee. The property manager David was fantastic. "Great place. With a family group we were looking for more room than what we found available in Portland. Very convenient, roomy, fantastic backyard on the cove, front yard on the park, and plenty of room for 5 family members."
