"If you’re looking for peace and quiet you found it. I sat out on the porch and just looked at the pond. Turned off the cell relaxed and enjoyed the view. The host was very accommodating. The home look just like the pictures and when I arrived the air conditioning was going which was great when your from California and not used to the hot sticky summers in Southern Illinois."

"This was a lovely space to stay. We were there for diving at Mermet Springs. It is not far from town and easy to get to. For those diving it has a washer and dryer that worked great for wet things. Nice patio for eating outside. We would definately stay again if it's available when we are there"

"We had such an awesome stay at the Shawnee Apple Shack. It was so cute, clean, and had everything that we needed! There was plenty to do in the Southern Illinois area for the weekend. We definitely recommend staying there and would love to come back sometime!"
