"We had an amazing stay at Eagle's Peak Cottage. My husband and our 2 dogs did a 4 day, 3 night kayaking trip on the Allegheny River. After 2 nights of island camping, this was the perfect place to shower and relax before heading back out dor our final trip. Really close to the boat launch and a restaurant thay serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Really clean and had everything, soap, shampoo, conditioner, laundry products, etc. We would love to come back next year!"

"The stay at the cabin was great. Everything you needed was included. The only thing I will say about our stay is we thought our dog would go up the spiral stair case and it was scared. "

"We found the Trout View Cottage so very charming. The cottage was crisp, clean and tastefully decorated. It accommodated 7 people without feeling at all crowded and kids were well entertained. Although settled in a cabin community, we were pleasantly surprised at how quiet and peaceful it was around a lovely campfire. We loved our stay and highly recommend it! "

"We had such a beautiful weekend. The River Bungalow was amazing. It was a little piece of heaven for us. Sitting on the porch in the morning with our coffee watching the river was so relaxing. Loved being able to have a fire. Roberta was very kind and helpful anytime we had any questions. Will definitely be back next year. "

"Great place to be if you are looking to get away for a bit. The area is a very small town but thats exactly what we were looking for. The screened in porch is great. Owner was polite, readily available, and checked in on us. Would stay again!"

"I’ve been going to Canadohta every summer for most of my life. This is by far one of the cleanest/nicest places I’ve stayed in. The host, Robyn, is also very responsive and helpful. Overall we had a great experience! "

Close to many activities in the area as well. The host was great to deal with and this was one of the best trips of our summer. We're in the area often and would stay here again for sure! "

"We had a great family trip at this charming cottage on the Alleghany. It’s quiet, cozy, and right on the water — perfect for relaxing and spending time together. The cottage was clean, well-stocked, and felt like a true escape. A lovely spot if you’re looking to unplug and enjoy nature!"

"Excellent property on all counts. Immaculate, peaceful, fully supplied. Comfortable bed, beautiful shower, high-end kitchen. Also, a well-designed home, with all the right storage and fixtures. Every time we walked in the door the view out the back took my breath away. And, while our weather was much cooler than we anticipated, we spent lovely late afternoons on the deck with a bottle of wine and potato chips :-).As another reviewer noted, this property isn't secluded, but you certainly feel...

"This property exceeded our expectations and then some. We wanted a fun, end of summer weekend and this was a perfect ending. There is literally anything you could possibly need and more! The views are absolutely stunning and so much space! Kayaking, swimming, canoeing, fishing, football, s’mores, mountain pies and plenty of space for the kids to find their own space to retreat to when they wanted a break. They spent a lot of time looking for crawfish and exploring the river bank. We cooked each...
