"The cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway. As other reviewers have mentioned, the cabins were closer together than I expected, but they’ve done a great job at still making it seem very private. The river was shallow, so the pups really enjoyed walking in it. Jerry was always very responsive, as was Chris who we met when we arrived. Overall a great stay!"

"We had a wonderful time on our girls trip at your cabin. It was very relaxing, and there was a lot of property to explore. We saw some wildlife, which was pretty cool and the starry nights were beautiful. Definitely a much needed vacation! "

"The Jackson River Estate was the perfect getaway for our 2025 Family Reunion. The estate is very spacious and provides magnificent views. There is river access but the water is cold. The pool and slide were a big hit! Cole’s Point (beach), the humpback bridge and waterfall were super close and great excursions. This location is great for families that like to be outdoors…hiking, fishing, kayaking…Check-in/out was super easy. Although we heard there might have been a bear, there was no sighting....

"Alicia’s cabin was the most magical and perfect getaway. Everything was as advertised and was very clean and stocked with everything you could need. I’m glad Alicia listed instructions on how to get to the property because it is easy to miss on the drive in. She was very responsive and helpful with all of the local recommendations. The creekside cabin is the perfect place to unwind & relax. "

"What an absolutely beautiful property! Caught fish in the lake and ponds. Saw eagles at the pond by the pavilion and lots of deer. The pig was a big highlight! The whole group seemed pretty content just sitting on the porch and soaking up the mountain views. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home with us, everyone really enjoyed themselves!!"

"We booked for a sibling birthday retreat- traveling from Texas, NC and Va. The house was quaint, comfortable ( chairs on porch not so much- would have liked rocking chairs as advertised as the weather was perfect for spending time there). A few electrical glitches typical for older homes-plugs in guesthouse were wonky and couldn’t seem to get enough light. "We absolutely loved our stay! The cabin is well organized and had everything we needed. It was super cute and comfortable. Cannot wait to stay again!"

"My 14 year old daughter and I stayed for 3 nights while she competed at a show at the Virgina Horse Center. It was lovely to have a peaceful and relaxing place to come back to after our long and exhausting days at the VHC. Communication with Audrey was great from the start. The property and views are gorgeous, especially each morning as we left at dawn for the show. The beds are comfortable, plenty of hot water, well equiped kitchen, and the washer and dryer were a godsend. Can't recommend...

"This cabin was exactly as advertised and very remote for lots of privacy. We saw a bear and lots of deer and enjoyed several activities near Lexington, Staunton and Verona. The host was excellent and the little extras such as snacks and flowers upon arrival were thoughtful. We enjoyed our stay very much and we hope to visit again."

"This place has potential, but there are several things that need to be done for the property to bring it up to the standard of a vacation rental. First and foremost, it needs a deep cleaning. We spent our first full day of vacation cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms. The beds are awful. Awful. The appliances are in need of replacement. The entire home needs somebody with resources to invest some cash and bring it to a standard worthy of charging people to stay. Some other things of note,...
