Paradise on the Bay

A quaint Olde Florida style fishing village. The area is considered to be historic, where you can still catch a glimpse of Marco Island’s pioneer area. Goodland has proudly maintained an independent spirit and authentic flair, separate from the modernization and development of Marco Island.
Find the perfect escape, with front row seats to the Everglades. Step right out to the waters edge of the Goodland Bay, where you will be able watch the dolphins right from your porch, or on your private patio. Bring along your kayaks and have full access of our private kayak launch.
A cozy fully remodeled 1 bedroom cottage. Full on, waterfront view. The place is equipped with all your basic needs for your stay. Cooking utensils, coffee maker, towels and linens. Queen bed in the bedroom with a television. Living room is suited with a couch, television, and dining area, all open to the magnificent view of the water.
Come and experience our beautiful cottage in Goodland.
Our neighborhood is as unique as it gets.
It’s a quiet historic fishing village. Off the beaten path, with a laid back vibe. On the outskirts of the hustle & bustle of Marco. Our location is very quiet, and peaceful. Goodland is located 5 miles from the city of Marco Island.

STAY AWAY!!!! That way I can keep it for myself!Just kidding,. Absolutely Beautiful !! Spotlessly Clean and in a wonderful location. Communication was excellent, host was willing to assist in any way. Very cozy, welcoming feel. With the beautiful plantings, I felt like I was back on a little piece of Maui. Will Definitely be coming back.

Angler's Dream

Brought our kayaks and launched from the most tranquil boat ramp. We pulled right up to the water. It was the perfect private escape. I watched dolphins from the chair in the picture during sunrise and sunset with a coffee or drink in hand. We caught redfish, snapper, snook, jack, catfish, trout and a shark! Stingrays raced our kayaks. We walked to a local restaurant and the food was great. The house was clean and beautiful. The host had great communication. We will definitely go back!

The apartment is very nice, cozy, super clean and with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The sunrise is beautiful. Very quiet area. I would come back again without hesitation.

Quiet and peaceful

A Great Week

We had a lovely time in the White Cottage. It was very clean and pleasant. We enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets from the property as well as the watching the dolphins while sitting in the Adirondack chairs in the yard. Amanda was a great host and we hope to be back!

Lost in time

We stayed in the White Cottage which has had a recent renovation by the owner. The Cottage is perfect for 2 people and has spectacular views of the sunrise each morning right from the front porch or patio but the best place to watch is from the dock over the water. Goodland is a small village lost in time, where everyone gives you a nod or wave and the fish jump all day. Amanda is a great host... we are going back for a repeat in Jan 2023!

Brand new unit with gulf access!

Great communication with the owner through the booking/check in process. Access to the dock with power/water was very helpful. We were traveling in our 24' center console and did not have a vehicle so it was imperative for dockage. This property delivered. The unit was brand new and clean. Modern design with a great AC to beat the summer months is south FL. There were a few other rentals on site and all looked taken care of and inviting. Looking forward to booking our next trip!

Private, quiet and immaculate at the edge of the Everglades

So clean and new, it felt like we were the first guests to stay in this modern, single-family one-bedroom home overlooking Goodland Bay lined with mangroves. The home has everything a couple would need: a separate bedroom with closet, bathroom with shower, clean and stocked kitchen, dinette, couch overlooking the patio/water and two TVs. Just a couple blocks of a quaint and quiet walk to several restaurants/bars in town. The owner, a very friendly local, recommended a restaurant that was delicious with great service. We only stayed two nights, so we didn’t get much chance to do any eco tourism, but we immediately booked a second trip upon returning, even during the summer when the places in Goodland close for the slow season. We loved the place so much, we figured if we ever wanted to go out, we can always take the short drive to Marco Island. Otherwise, we’ll stock up for the weekend at the Publix nearby and never leave. Which would also be great. The best vacation rental we’ve ever stayed in by far.
