"We visited the Chilworth Manor Hotel for our mini moon after we got married. The receptionist was very rude and abrupt when we arrived to pay before our wedding (before we got married) and made us feel unwelcome from the get go. "The room was dark and very tired. Loose light fittng that's not suitable for family stay. Breakfast was sad. Plates and glasses are dirty. Glasses you can feel it still had dirts all around them.I thought it would be equivalent to Premier inn but it's much worse. On the way to reception at ground floor, it smell like weed. One of the private room was playing loud music. Towels and beddings are dirty. .."

"Staff at check in were great. Car park was very full because there's a public gym at the hotel. Hotel rooms are weird - there's only a window in the bathroom. No fresh air available in the actual hotel room. Air con system is rubbish. Room was dusty throughout. Terrible night's sleep because there was a thumping noise coming from above my room - it sounded as if we were directly under the gym and there was always someone throwing weights at all hours. Not a good experience. "

"Good location. Food excellent especially breakfast. I booked 3 rooms for friends and sadly one of the rooms in the stables wasnt as good. Very tired and mouldy..needs a refurb. Staff gave us great service"

"We were very happy with our stay, chose this hotel because of it's location, easy walk into Shaftesbury and gold hill, and next day to stourhead national trust. The room was very clean and everything worked ok but the room decor reflected the 3 star rating, but the bar and dinning areas were more like 4/5 star and also the food and service one of the best Sunday carveries ever, would return just for that, and then to top that the full English breakfast wow, that was definitely 5 star, the staff...

"Overall the property needs updating, it was very clean when you consider that it does need a lot of work doing to fetch it up to a good standard. However good value for money and comfy beds."
