"GPS directed us to the property. Convenient parking. Cabin is old, as described. Everything clean and in working condition. Way more space than we needed. We had the windows open for lake breezes during the day and kicked on the heat to take the chill out of the cabin in the morning. Kitchen was stocked for preparing meals. Groundskeepers are friendly and attentive. Waking to loon calls beats city noises! We will check here for availability in the future. "

"Beautiful cabin on a beautiful lake. Very peaceful, we had the luxury of having some Loons patrol the lake as well as two pairs of Swans. The fishing was fantastic for children. Mellen and the surrounding area are very beautiful. We went to Dusty’s Saloon when thirsty, had supper at Elkhorn Lodge in Clam Lake. Visited Corrigans lookout in Upson, hiked Cooper Falls but spent most of our time on the lake at the cabin. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit the north woods."

"This cabin was exactly the privacy and lack of inernet/cell service we desperately needed. Spacious enough that we're debating bringing a group next time! Some of the old VHS tapes and equipment/anemities were like a step back in time. Quiet, charming, and within driving distance (30-40 miles) of many great hiking spots and food. Honestly can't wait to come back!"

"Beautiful views, beautiful cabins. Great resort bar that is always full of fun people. "

"A super cute and cozy cabin that is about a 25 min drive to the Brikie trailhead and downtown Hayward. We came up for the Birkie trail run and were super happy with the location. The owner is really nice and the resort dog, Vincent, is such a sweetheart! The lake is beautiful and the restaurant/bar is a great place to grab a bite to eat. Would stay here again!"

"I read the reviews and was a little worried about the snakes that a past renter mentioned. We are very happy to report that we did not find any snakes at this location inside or out. Our grandchildren enjoyed the stay which included being outside and catching a lot of fish. The only issue we had were that the beds were not very firm. Our grandchildren asked when we were going to come back. We do plan on visiting in the future. Thank you for letting us stay at your cabin."
