"The view was beautiful, especially at sunset and birding was quite enjoyable. Unfortunately the property could use some work which made it hard for us to relax. Be prepared for a steep, rough road and driveway, drive a high clearance vehicle. Communication with host was great."

"Just an overnight stay. On our way back home from northern New York. The place was nice. It is peaceful sitting on the deck. The check in process was a little tedious with various emails and downloads required. The Backstep is a little sketchy. Be careful walking in. Overall the place was nice"

"I hate giving negative reviews, however.... Upon arrival, access was very easy. The owner/ property manager provided clear and concise information. The property was easy to access, but definitely use a 4 wheel vehicle.
However, the online photos of the property are deceptive. The cabin is not as rural as one would think. The building has much more wear than depicted. The deck is high above the ground and the boards are warped with openings. It did not feel safe.
The gutters had plants...

"If you are looking for a quiet rustic place this is the place to stay. Hot tub was clean. House was in good shape. The steps are a little challenging but it's a A frame cabin so space is limited so keep that in mind before you book. One suggestion would be a new AC on the second floor as is did not keep the area cool. Outside of that we enjoyed our stay and would stay again."

"We had an amazing time, the cottage was exactly as posted and had everything we needed and then some! Jackie was such a thorough host which I love and was so prompt and clear with all communications. We would definitely come again it is a great secluded spot with no close neighbours currently. We didn't see a single person during our time while at the cottage or on the road to. Tons of nature, saw sooo many deer especially at dusk. Lovely hearing all the birds sounds.thanks for a great time!"

"The property was absolutely wonderful! We have a great time. It was clean, comfortable, and we really enjoyed all of the amenities that were on site! Area was secluded, nice and quiet. The little snacks on the coffee bar and everything else were a very kind gesture. Host was very communicative and responds promptly. Very kind and hospitable! We really appreciated the last minute request I had made of bringing one more person and our dog!
Looking forward to staying again sometime! Thank you all...

"The owners were such a pleasure to work with and made the process extremely easy. The only thing was I thought the headline was misleading. It said 5 bedrooms when there was really 3. That could been a problem but wasn't for me. Other than that I couldn't be happier with the host and the property, I would definitely stay there again!!"
