Wave watching at it's best

Beachfront home in Gleneden Beach (quite stretch of beach 1 mile South of Lincoln City). This sweet, shingled cottage puts the ocean front and center, with an elevated, panoramic view from every window of the great room. You’ll find it easy to kick back and relax in the plush living room complete with wall-mounted flat screen TV/DVD/Blu-ray, gas fireplace and the ever-present sound of surf. You’ll enjoy watching for whales from the dining table and seeing pelicans and other seabirds glide past as you do the dishes in the fully equipped kitchen. Even the laundry room has a fantastic ocean view! The two queen bedrooms are on the quieter eastern side of the home. You’ll love the sunny, private courtyard entryway, and the western deck is transparent but wind-screened, with dining furniture and Adirondack chairs. The access to beautiful Gleneden Beach is right next to the driveway, so you can wave to your guests from the porch as they run down to the water. Gleneden Beach puts you between Lincoln City and Depoe Bay and Newport for some wonderful day trips, but you may just enjoy walking along the ocean’s edge and exploring the town of Gleneden Beach. Golf and a world-class spa are nearby at Salishan, a coffee-house/wine bar called the Red Roof and delicious dining at the Side Door Cafe. Come fill your eyes and spirit with the beauty of Gleneden Beach with a stay at Kristy’s Kottage! We work extra hard to sanitize every surface and have contact-less check in.

Please avoid leaving a single night gap during Spring Break.

Loved everything about the place- Location, view, cleanliness, it was perfect! I would definitely rent again.I was a little weary at first because you have to sign a contract and there are a lot of rules with exclamation marks after, so it seemed a bit intimidating, but they were all simple rules that were easy to follow.

This beach house is fabulous in terms of gorgeous views and ideal mid-coast location. The views are to die for - great to have coffee or wine and stare at the ocean, very relaxing. You can view it from large picture windows inside where it is warm and cozy. There is also a lower deck that is nice, but can be chilly. Getting to the sand is a bit treacherous as you have to climb over uneven rocks, so it is not easy beach access - this was not clear to us and was a bit of a disappointment. The location is ideal if you are exploring the coast of Oregon. We were there 3 days and drove in both directions to visit lighthouses. Lots of great restaurants like Otis Cafe.The house is clean and well set up with two bedrooms that both have queen beds and great linens. There are plenty of towel and blankets. It is one bathroom, but it worked fine for the two of us. The kitchen is well stocked. The Keurig coffee maker is a bit finicky and sometimes does not want to work - we fiddled with it each morning to get it to work. It would also have been nice to know the type of coffee maker from the VRBO description. Instructions about house rules and expectations were good and clear - my travel partner was a bit miffed that we were asked to take out the trash and start the laundry given the steep cleaning fee. The overall per night fee is pretty high as this is the most expensive VRBO I have ever stayed at over the last 10 years, probably due to the beach views and access.

Excellent location for beach access. As others have mentioned, the path to the beach is rocky but there is a rope available for support. The beach was much more quiet than others in Lincoln City. Beautiful views from several rooms in house. Kitchen was well stocked. Would definitely stay again!

It was perfect for my friend and I. The view was perfect. It was close to everything we wanted to see. Only negative is we could not figure out the fireplace. Im sure that was just is though!

Wonderful views, right on the beach

This was a great, cozy property, sat out on the deck when not walking on the beach. Our first day was pretty blustery but we sat inside with the fireplace on and watched the waves. Kitchen had everything we needed. Wifi seemed just fine and there were streaming services you could use your log ins for. I'm 5'4" so the shower was short for even me, but the temp and pressure were great, just have to bend your knees a bit. Really had everything we needed and I like the laundry area which was great for using like a pantry space and had a great view of the ocean as well. The driveway is steep so you will be parked on a significant angle or could park in the other, flatter parking spot. I like being in the Gleneden area, close to Lincoln City but its quiet and less crowded. We were close to Squatchsami which is a fish and chips/fried chicken Food Truck, which was excellent and other food options there as well by the golf course. The beach access is also very close but it is very rocky and steep and you will need to be careful, would not be friendly to anyone with uncertain mobility. Everything was clean enough, beds were decent. Be aware there are no heaters in the bedrooms but plenty of extra blankets if needed. Go out when high tide starts receding as we had good luck with finding shells and agates, but you will have some competition from the older guys out there searching every time. We will definitely be back the next time we can schedule a beach trip.

Great location, beautiful view

Nothing but great things to say about this experience. Owner was accommodating of our schedule; booking and check-in process was smooth and easy; house was in great shape with comfortable furniture, well-stocked kitchen, plenty of games, puzzles and books, deck was nice, and the view was PERFECT.

Amazing location, comfy beach house

Everything was as advertised, 5 stars, highly recommend this property! Side Door Cafe & Pelican Brewery are very close and were great. Home was ideal for just the two of us, took walks on the beach every day and enjoyed the ocean sounds all night.

Great little spot

We enjoyed the stay very much. The view was amazing and it was easy to access and check-in was seamless. The only things we needed and didn’t have was pizza cutter, an ice cream scoop and Kleenex - I mean if you’re not crying, eating pizza and ice cream are you even having a girls weekend?! We would definitely stay here again!

Great ocean watching

This was a very clean home, with chairs set up to watch the waves all day. The gas fireplace kept us toasty and we had fun with a vintage (1981 - is that vintage now?!) Trivial Pursuit game. We would have started towels but missed where the soap was available, and we weren't able to sit outside unfortunately (no chairs - although it was pretty windy anyway). Loved being able to just walk down to the beach and enjoy our quiet time together.

Tremendous ocean view

Great escape for my husband and me to celebrate our birthdays. Cottage was immaculate and equipped with everything we needed. Front row seats for wave watching couldn’t have been better, and the gas fireplace kept us cozy. Being in our early 70s the beach access was too tricky, but we drove to easier access and had a lovely walk. Fantastic dinner at Side Door Cafe. We’d definitely like to return!!
