"Breakfast was excellent- the best free hotel breakfast I’ve ever encountered! Comfortable bed, lots of pillows, good tv setup. The only minor complaint I have is that the bathroom fan and shower curtain were woefully inadequate."

"I ate at the neighboring Denny’s which had very good service and food. The hotel front desk staff as well as housekeeping staff were extremely friendly and conscientious. I also found the bed extremely comfy as well as the shower."

"The room was nice and clean, couple downsides I noticed: the toilet was pretty hard to get to flush properly and had to close the door to use the toilet (not ideal with a toddler). The wifi kept going in and out so it was hard to watch TV. I will say I really appreciated having Netflix logged in already and able to watch. The bed was a little uncomfy but that wasn’t a big deal. Overall was a good stay for the price "

"There was an incident where one of the cleaning staff knock on my door, upon answering she asked if i needed anything, i told her if she could come back in an hour's time which she responded no cos the cleaning staff closes in an hour's time. I told her i only needed my garbage emptied, she told me she was coming, i waited for almost an hour and decided to check whether she was out there. I unfortunately left my tap/key inside and locked myself out oy the room. She shouldn't have knocked if she...

"The room was modern and clean with a great view of Miller Lake. Unfortunately I did the self check-in, in the dark with rain pouring down and couldn't locate the property for 20 minutes. Lighting on the signage or street number is recommended. A bit of a game-changer that sticks with me is that they don't use a top sheet. I get that people do this at home, but not for guest-use....eew!"

"Moxy is convenient, modern and reasonable. Rooms are comfortable but it’s not a 4 star destination. It’s affordable and located adjacent to downtown, the boardwalk, Citadel etc. It also has a small restaurant with happy hour and decent breakfast, lunch, and dinner—though there are lots of great restaurants in Halifax to check out. "
