"The view from the rooms is exceptional. Being able to lay on bed and see the Himalayan Mountain range was the highlight. Staff were extremely helpful anf friendly. Thank-you we really enjoyed our stay and were fortinate to see the snow capped peaks most days."

"A beautiful colonial building. The room was very spacious and clean with good views. Staff were very welcoming and were happy to help us in every way with excellent food in the restaurant. We would have no hesitation in recommending Arcadia Resort . "

"Service, location, friendly accommodating staff made us feel like home. Kanchanjungha views from hotel view point.. outside some rooms, dining hall, outside reception.. everywhere. Gave some suggestions and feed back to the general manager who was very appreciative of the constructive feed back. Passion of the staff to serve customers is unparalleled and trickles down from the leadership of Debarya, who seems to talk about the resort like it's his baby. "The room I was given needed a fair bit of attention from the cleanliness of the bathroom,filling in the toilet roll and tissues Restaurant was ok but the food needed more variation.However the staff at the restaurant were very nice and helpful. Although it says there is a spa they mean it only offered massages. I feel Expedia could have done a better job with verifying all that is claimed in the description.I think it should be only a Two star rating. "

"Total value for money. But when i checked in other rooms were under renovation. The staff is very polite and helpful. Breakfast and dinner was very good. Sharing taxis for Darjeeling main are available from nearby. Ghoom station is walking distance."

"We had an excellent stay - property is fantastic . Staff are very eager to help . The property is very close to the local train station - around 5 mins walk . Although the property is on the main road, the rooms are very quiet - especially ones facing away from the road. Overall we enjoyed the stay and will definitely recommend this hotel. "

"We booked this hotel for its heritage and its connection to various historical figures. What we hadn't counted on was such a warm welcome. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble, and when we were asked what we would like for breakfast on the evening before, we requested some things that weren't on their breakfast menu (We hadn't seen it at that point)and they went out and bought them specially. We honestly cannot wait to visit again."

"We very much enjoyed our stay at the Elgin Hotel. Our deluxe room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It also had a nice view. We loved the Victorian style of the main building where the reception, bar, lounge and library are located. All the rooms including the dining room were tastefully decorated. "We had an amazing stay at ging tea house It is a rare gem hidden in the mountains with breathtaking views. The property manager Mr. Andrew made sure our stay was memorable. He helped us with the directions. He and his team work day and night to make sure we have tasty food for breakfast lunch and dinner and making nice dargeeling tea for us. The property is located in the mountains with lots of greenery and small hikes to explore the tea plantations. Will definitely visit here again. "

"It was an amazing experience.. The hotel is a very good location near the mall road. The hotel staff is very friendly and cooperative. It is very decently designed but the only issue we had was the mattress there. Otherwise really good property for the price we paid. highly recommended"
