Creekside Cabin at Gettysburg

Welcome to Creekside Cabin: The cabin is approximately 100 years old, nestled on the “Manor of the Masque”. This land was deeded to William Penn in 1735, the cabin sits along Marsh Creek. The creek's origin is about 5 miles away and courses through Adams County and Frederick County, before eventually emptying into the Chesapeake Bay. The surrounding farmland/woodland was occupied during the Civil War and the farm at the end of the lane served as an active Civil War hospital. Soldiers are buried near the farm.

Now that we’ve presented you with a brief history, we would like to describe the benefits of staying with us. The picturesque view of Marsh Creek comes with an abundance of wildlife; turkey, deer, hawks, and owls.

We offer 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a kitchen, a large dining area attached to an open family room. You will fall in love with the old stone fireplace and the scenic view from the sunroom. Amenities included are fire pit, horseshoes and gas grill.

Along with your comfortable/scenic stay the cabin is situated within close proximity to center square Gettysburg. All notable Gettysburg attractions are within 10 minutes of the Creekside Cabin.

Great location to bike

Family Getaway

This was actually our 2nd time staying at the cottage. We love the location- close enough to the battlefield but slightly remote so it's peaceful. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back again.

Mother’s Day Get Away

As soon as we arrived we fell in love with the house. We love older cabins and it was perfect. Tami and Greg checked in on us and were so nice. Wonderful location. Loved the enclosed porches and the fireplace since it was a little chilly. We hope we have the opportunity to stay here again.

Perfect Cabin in the Woods

Easy check in, all the details sent prior to our arrival. This quaint little cabin just minutes from some of the battlefield sites was not only conveniently located but provided a great place to rest and relax after a long day of walking. Peaceful setting with all the amenities of home. Hosts were kind and gracious. Thank you for the stay, we would love to come back.

We loved the charming cabin, which was perfect for the four of us. The two bathrooms was a great convenience. Although our busy weekend schedule meant we didn’t spend much time there, we will definitely be back. We also enjoyed meeting Tami and her granddaughter; she was a great host.

This place is tucked away in a beautiful wooded area with steps leading down to a creek, we enjoyed a fire at night, saw a ton of wild life. Inside was cozy and they had everything we needed for our stay and then some.

A History Buff's Oasis

My friend and I were Civil War reenactors 45 years ago. We had talked about this trip for a long time. This cabin ticks all the boxes for a historical deep dive. Its almost on the battlefield and the Round Tops are easily visible from the property. At the end of a long day of following that HUGE battle, the cabin is a quiet, idyllic retreat. Everything is comfortable and well maintained. It even has an automatic backup power system! Everything in Gettysburg is 15 minutes or less away. I just can't say enough good things about the property and its owners who live but a stone's throw away. Will definitely stay again if we get to come back to Adams county.

Storybook Cabin

This historic cabin is in a wooded setting with deer a creek and bird songs. The amenities all worked to make a comfortable stay. Great access to museums, antiques, hiking, and scenic drives.

What a sweet little getaway!

Charming cabin for a winter stay--but I bet it would be great in warm weather too when you can play in the creek! Lots of space to spread out. Our 11 year old was charmed to stay in a "real log cabin" and it was also his first experience with old fashioned radiators! Got pizza at Clementina's just a few minutes away & enjoyed it.

Perfect!

This quaint cottage is just what we needed for a family early Christmas celebration in Gettysburg. The location was perfect, easy to get in and out of downtown Gettysburg. The area is quiet and serene. The house was clean and offered lots of little perks, including games! We had so much fun and will consider it for sure again when we come back.!

Cozy cabin

The cabin was very clean and cozy. We loved the location and the wildlife as well! The deer were beautiful! It was a very short drive to the Battlegrounds and Gettysburg..The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We found the sunroom to be the perfect spot for our Bible reading. We definitely recommend staying here! to be back.

Your home was in a wonderful location, making it the perfect place for us to stay within driving distance from our friend’s wedding venue. The house was kept very clean and Tami provided us with good instructions throughout our stay.

Weekend Getaway

We had a wonderful stay. It was our second trip to the Gettysburg area, staying at Greg and Tami's location. Both Greg and Tami are very hospitable and checked with us upon check-in to make sure all was well. They made themselves assessable in case we needed anything. All amenities were provided. We look forward to returning to this location next year.

Perfect Cozy Getaway!

We were heading too Gettysburg for our 10th Wedding Anniversary and the Warren Paracon. Upon our arrival, Tami, the owner, met us outside. When we got inside, she had left us a sweet anniversary card!! Tami is the best VRBO Owner I've ever met! Checking in and out was a breeze. The Creekside Cabin is 100+ years old and it definitely has character. Tami provided towels, linens, and a fully loaded kitchen. All you needed to bring was yourself, your clothes, and food. I can't say enough about this cabin and hope we can return one day! We'd definitely stay here again!

Cozy place

It was rainy during our stay, but we very much enjoyed the cozy cabin and an opportunity to ghost hunt at the civil war hospital/barn just down the road. Didn't get to play in the creek, but it was still nice to look at.
