Viatges a Garden Homes

Great place to stay. Will stay here again

The room was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The hotel was beautiful and luxurious and definitely worth another stay. The daytime staff was friendly and kind and welcoming. The nighttime staff was a little off putting but maybe she was having a bad day. Just felt like we were bothering her. I would definitely recommend this hotel to people looking for a nice little getaway.

It's nice to have your room cleaned and bed made everyday. We have to request that at other hotels. The place is so large, it was fun to look around and find, for example, the Weber Hall of Fame which included celebrities from all eras. And we had an excellent dinner at their restaurant. There was one disappointment checking out. I use Hotels.com to book most of my stays. I have never been told that "Expedia would email the list of charges." What? It's 24 hours later and now I need to call them. We spent quite a bit there, but she was very quick to dismiss me....like this is what happens when you don't book with them, and I mentioned that no other hotel has ever withheld the statement of charges. It was a bummer to end on that note.

The hotel itself was fine. Our kids loved the pool and breakfast. But our bathroom had very clearly been smoked in. We informed the front desk. They said they’d send maintenance to see if they could do anything. I also asked that they re-clean the bathroom as there was a bunch of hair behind the door. No one ever came to the room to do either. We stayed three nights. No one ever cleaned the room even though it should have been cleaned on Friday. I informed the front desk several more times of the smoking because I didn’t want to be charged for it. We kept the door shut and used the bathroom in another family members room. Upon checkout I told them one more time about the smoking. What did we get for the lovely smoke smell? A smoking charge on our credit card. They at least reversed it when I called. But I can’t say I’m very happy with paying full price to not have a usable bathroom and never have the room cleaned.
