Very nice VRBO stay. House very clean and beds very comfy. Located perfectly for where we wanted to go. Quiet neighborhood. Definitely would stay again. Michael very prompt in answering questions. Thank you for a great "sisters" weekend!

Everything was in great condition. Coffee bars were great and fully stocked . Enjoyed Mardi Gras and quick trip using Lyft. We were super close to Shy Katz which great breakfast spot. Will definitely keep this place in mind for next year.

We stayed a weekend here to enjoy Mardi Gras. Great location. One neighbor even said “hi” and was friendly. Lots of naturally light in the house. We could tell it had been renovated to open up the bottom floor so it felt very roomie and great for large groups. My college aged son and his girlfriend joined us one evening and we played a card game (provided at the house) as a family. House was clean and well organized!! We had no problems finding what we needed.

What a lovely decorated renovated house in a quiet neighbourhood. A good walking distance to the pier/ beach and the Strand which is the older part of Galveston. 2 bedrooms upstairs with washroom and 1 bedroom on the main floor with a washroom as well. Lots of room for enjoying our family time.

Very nice coffee bar set up! Loved the decor, appreciate the modern look with the vintage flooring. Perfect location with the sea wall and all restaurants. And lived of how close it was to the strand and historical sitings.

Absolutely perfect place for our family! The beds were so comfortable that it was difficult to get my kids up each morning :-). Great job keeping the charm of an older home with all of the modern amenities available. We hope to stay here again when it's warm so we can enjoy the beach. This is a clean, nicely decorated, comfortable house. We didn’t do any cooking, but it had the basics. The beds are high and difficult to climb into ( I’m 5’2” and 73 years old ) and get a little stiff by evening. A small table in each bathroom would be nice to hold personal items. Waste baskets in the bedrooms would also be appreciated. There is 1 large screen tv in the living room and lots of DVD’s and games. I would stay here again. Michael was quick to respond to my questions.

Michael was welcoming and quick to respond with any questions. The home is a nicely done restoration, well appointed, clean and comfortable. Beds are comfortable. Bathrooms nice. Plenty of living area. We enjoyed home cooked breakfasts from the nice kitchen utilizing cookware provided. Fold up chairs were a nice surprise as we were able to use them for local events. Great location with plenty of street parking available. We would book another stay here. Thanks!

The Betty exceeded our expectations! Super clean and well appointed. Comfortable and plenty of seating in the living room. Has a coffee bar for whenever you want coffee! Beds were comfortable and stayed a comfortable temperature during our stay. The host was very friendly and made sure we had all of the info we needed prior to our stay. He was very helpful! Would definitely recommend The Betty! Great location to the Seawall, main street, and anywhere you might want to go! Great Galveston getaway!

Neat house

This is a neat house! Very cool vibe. It is well stocked with dishes and some consumables. No toaster though. The driveway is useless as only the smallest of cars would fit. Maybe a smart car! The beds are very high so if you are unable to climb, this house isn’t for you. The highest of them all was the downstairs bed. Two of the burners on the stove do not work. The checkout procedure is a little much. We’ve stayed in a lot of short term rentals and this is the first one we’ve been required to strip all the beds of linens and place in the laundry room. Seems like that’s part of what we pay for in the host fees. The lock on the front door is very scratched up and difficult to see the digital numbers through. Also, do not try to get in early. There is a ring camera there and is being monitored. We arrived a little early and wanted to see if we could go ahead and get in. We were immediately sent an email asking if we wanted an early check in, with a fee attached, I’m sure. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but will not be renting this home again when we return for our annual trip next year.

Great house with lots of charm

The house looked exactly like the pictures. The host was friendly and quick to respond.Good amount of space, beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed.Loved having a slow morning in the little reading nook upstairs. Neighborhood was quiet and close to everything in Galveston. Highly recommend for a nice vacation!

Great for Grandmas Getaway, Too!

The Betty is clearly loved and very well-taken care of! Just as any ol'gal ought to be! Every bed is comfortable, the house is cool and comfortable, the refrigerator is large and accommodated plenty of food for the weekend. And the walk to the seawall is safe and very short - it is less than 7 minutes! Surprised how quiet the street is and with little to no traffic. We will book again!
When it rained, we enjoyed painting at the nice, large table.
The Betty is so lovely! We hope to revisit soon!

The Betty was awesome. It housed 3 generations for our first ever fishing trip together. It was comfortable, affordable, and the location was close to everything g we needed. Thank you for allowing us to have that opportunity. Communication with owner was quick. Would highly recommend!!
