This Point West Resort oceanfront condo awaits your visit to Galveston Island! With access to a shared pool and other resort amenities such as a foosball table and a hot tub, an inviting place to call home for a couple of nights, sweeping sea views, and room for everyone, you may never want to leave. Enjoy the close proximity to the beach (roughly 400 feet) for fun in the sun. Unwind in the inviting and comfortable living space and watch your favorite shows on the TV while cozying up with your lovely friends.

Visit historic Galveston for shopping, dining, museums, galleries, and so much more. And for those looking for some outdoor adventure, take the crew over to the Moody Gardens to learn about the exotic marine life, then hit the waterslides at the Schlitterbahn Waterpark (20 miles). End the day with an afternoon swim back at the shared pool, then maybe take everyone out for some fresh seafood at one of the nearby eateries.

THINGS TO KNOW
Starting September 5, 2023, Pointe West Resort will be conducting maintenance on the elevators. During this period, certain elevators will be unavailable for a few weeks.
Beach Club bands will be $25 per guest over three years old to access all amenities. This fee is charged by the POA of Pointe West and is payable at the Beach Club.
Due to local rules and regulations, there are certain restrictions around the pool occupancy and times of use. No reservations are required, but occupancy is limited to a first come, first serve basis up to 50% occupancy. Specific information will be provided after you book.
The on-site restaurant/cafe is no longer available.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.

This rental is located on floor 2.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Wonderful view and very nice building! Sofa was very uncomfortable and sure if had to use bed as was original plan that would have been horrible as did not look like good bed. The tv’s in neither room worked properly and master tv was not at all usable . Bathrooms were wonderful and beside sofa and tv issues would have gave it a 5 star!

Great unit with convenient beach access close to the bridge over the dunes. Very comfortable and accurate listing. We had everything that we needed for our stay but it would be helpful to have the kitchen a little more furnished for cooking.

Great getaway

We had a great time at this condo. Close to the beach and the pools. Close enough to all the things but far enough away where it wasn’t so busy. Very lovely place!

Beautiful view, but condo needs upgrades

The location was great! Loved the view from the porch and easy access to the beach. Surprisingly, even though there have been many complaints, no change in providing beach chairs or beach stuff. However, they did have plenty of beach towels. Note: the dishwasher leaked the first time we used it. The dryer took forever to dry. And the tv in master bedroom had sound but no picture. We also had three of five days with very loud construction work going on right outside our bedroom window starting at 8am and then were told on one day as we were heading out we couldn’t access our unit again until late afternoon…. Very frustrating. Vasca management communication wasn’t great. I would definitely stay at West Point again but maybe choose a different location.

Great View and Spacious

Plenty of room and we enjoyed the view of The Gulf of America. 2 complaints though: the door locking system needs revised. The electronic lock expects a senior to enter a strange 10 digit number in 10 seconds. Never got it to work. Thankfully managemen answered the phone and coached through getting a realtor type lock box open so we could use a key for our stay. The door to patio in living room needs repair. Extremely difficult to open and never were sure it was closed properly at night. Resolve those issues and it’s the pertect place to chill.

Spring Break

Weather wasn't great so trying to factor that in. Quick communication, but when we asked to switch a date it was approved, then told it was booked and made other plans, then hours later told it was open. Other than that, the beach was accessible, room was clean. It was a long drive into "downtown" (be careful, police look for speeders).

Great place off the beaten path

Nice place! There is some walking distance over a rattlesnake preserve to get to the beach which i wasnt aware off, but not a huge deal. Wish it was closer to the beach. Its also about 30 mins away from most attractions in galveston so if you're looking for peace and quiet its a winner.wwinner.Wasnt aware kf

cheap and shabby

We have stayed at Pointe West a number of times. All good experiences. Love the location and the really nice units that we have rented. This is the first time we have been disappointed. First problem was with the lock. We couldn't get in because the door lock was not working properly. Inside, the unit lacked any warmth. Decor was bland and dated. Furniture was shabby, dirty and poor quality. The kitchen contained minimum with dishes and glassware. No mixing bowls. No cutting boards. Hardly enough for a week's stay. Linens were ok. Not wonderful. Again, a minimum amount of effort for a rental. Beds were comfortable and well made. There was no welcome book or list of instructions for operating the television, thermostat or appliances. Appliances were marginal. Icemaker didn't work. Oven was "iffy" with heat. We had to figure all out on our own, which we did. The location of the unit is what was great. Nice view of the gulf. Quiet and peaceful. There are several other units for rent at Pointe West that are same price category but better appointed, warmer and have better kitchens. We would not recommend this place for rent unless the owners did something about the decor, appliances and ovewrall appearance of the unit.

Clean and convenient

The property itself was very well kept and clean. There was plenty of natural light, but you could also make it dark enough to not be disturbed by it if you need to sleep. 9/10 on the home itself because there were no batteries in some of the remotes, the pillows were a bit old (so BYOP), and the overhead fan in the master was not working. Overall, a great experience. I would definitely book again. My only complaint was that the clubhouse restaurant states that it closes at 9, but they actually begin to close the kitchen at 8:30pm , so plan accordingly, because most restaurants in the area close at 9 pm. Besides that,The food and drinks were very good and the staff was very friendly.

Great beach access, but the condo itself needs some work

I wanted to love this place, but the condo really needs some improvements before I would recommend it to anyone else. The pros: great beach views, easy access to the beach, beach towels provided. The cons: The place really needs a deep-cleaning (including windows). The kitchen was grimy and I kept finding sticky spots on the table, fridge handles, and stove. Not very appealing for preparing food. There was also a red solo cup FULL of cigarette & cigar butts on the patio table upon arrival! I did let management know about these issues and they were responsive, but only time will tell if the condo is cleaned more thoroughly in the future. Other than that, too many things are broken or in need of replacement. Almost all of the blinds are broken in some way, the kitchen faucet is missing a part, the ice maker doesn't work (& there are only two ice trays, so bring your own ice!), kitchen utensils are beat up, and we had to turn the living room ceiling fan off because it seemed like it was about to fly out of the ceiling! Additionally, you simply need to bring too many things from home (a comfortable pillow, a cutting board, coffee filters, extra dishwasher detergent pods, etc.) for this place to be convenient. Sidenote: Bring bug spray. Mosquitoes are AWFUL! I will probably stick with a Sand 'n Sea Property from now on. They have always been well-stocked and spotless. I guess some guests have enjoyed this condo, but sadly we did not.

Nice beach and view!

Condo was nice, could have been a little cleaner. View on balcony was amazing. Super quiet when we were there. Could have had more kitchen supplies for cooking. So bring a cutting board, none there. The batteries in the tv remote were dead so had to use the ones in the bedroom. Small inconvenience but over all nice condo.
