Wonderful Family Getaway

Very comfortable and well equipped gulf-front property for our short family vacation. We enjoyed our stay very much and the owner was very easy to communicate with.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay! The selling points are definitely the view from the balcony/living room and beach proximity. You can’t beat it. A few things to note is the stairs to get into the property are steep with no landing at the top, could be dangerous for young kids or elderly people. The kitchen was well stocked with pans, cutlery, plates, bowls, but no salt/pepper, coffee, or oil (which they do tell you upon arrival). The house in general is old, however it was clean. For us the views and beach access were worth it and we would return!

Unfortunately the sargassum seaweed was so bad you couldn’t even see the beach and it smelled so bad it was totally unpleasant. This was not the owners fault. The stairwell going up to the front door was as described but it seemed really dangerous as we were unloading the car. And the lock did not work. Luckily the owner was available to reset the access code. We just couldn’t see spending a long weekend with the beach conditions- we forfeited our payment for four nights and returned to our home in Houston. Definitely check beach conditions prior to going.

We had a wonderful stay at this beachfront house for a birthday trip. The location could not be better. Right on the beach, with amazing views and easy access to the water. The property was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Communication was straightforward, and check in was smooth. It was the perfect spot to celebrate, and we’d be happy to return for another stay.
