Built in 1900 this home is an original duplex. After purchasing this home many years ago and not having success with long term renters, I have updated and turned it into a short term for those traveling through the area or visiting for awhile. While updating, I still kept some of the old charm and added a touch of class. Bathroom and kitchen are both total updates that are both charming and sensible. Furnishings throughout the home are new and modern. You won’t be disappointed by it at all. Yes the old stairs squeak and the floors crackle at time. The old windows sometimes rattle. They are 120 years old, so they are allowed to do so. You will love the charm of the front porch and yard. The back yard is currently a work in place. Take a walk to the park or a trip to one one our shoppes or restaurants. It will be satisfying for all.
It is important to know that the bathroom is down stairs. The two bedrooms are upstairs, shotgun style.

NOTE: Bath is downstairs and shotgun bedrooms are upstairs. Portable bed is on lower level if someone can’t go upstairs.

Really cute place and clean! Will stay again if in that area of Ohio. A walk away from the Ohio River and restaurants too.

Omitted some key details

Having the bedrooms on the upper floor, and the one bathroom on the lower floor, definitely did not work for our 82 year old sister.....fortunately, the landlord left a foldaway cot, so she didn't have to sleep on the sofa.....plus, having to walk through one bedroom to and from the second bedroom to use the bathroom. In the middle of the night was an unpleasant surprise.....still, the unit was cute in its own way, felt authentic, and the landlord pleasantly left some coffee and cream to Jumpstart our morning ..

Very cute and nice. The location is on a quiet street. The home is comfortable with lots of amenities. It’s perfect for a couple who want to get away.

Quiet Place

The house was wonderful for our short stay. Everything was ready when we arrived, including a selection of snacks waiting on the table. The street is quiet and I was able to enjoy the mornings sitting on the porch with a beverage.
