Recently renovated, is located in a scenic hillside location in a picturesque village nestled in the heart of Chianti, strategic point to reach in a short time two beautiful cities such as Siena and Florence.

Moreover, you can go trekking in the beautiful trails and nature walks on foot or by bicycle. Nice thermal SPA and fashion outlet in the vicinity.

Apartment: living room with dining area and fireplace, kitchen (oven, refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher), bathroom with shower (window), a double bedroom, small living room with TV (DTT), a room with 2 beds.

At guests' disposal:
JACUZZI in the private garden included (available from April to October)
fenced and equipped with table, chairs and lounge chairs, wood stove, Wi-Fi (free), barbecue. Firewood (free).

Lovely location, a few logistical improvements would help

• Pros: Beautiful grounds, garden and hot tub; dishwasher was greatly appreciated, lovely views, excellent Instructions to reach the village. Cons: • Internet/cell connectivity in village is poor and upon arrival, couldn’t connect with cell phone OR my portable wifi. I couldn’t reach the owners, and had no photos to identify the house was ours, and instructions were incomplete. Had to knock on doors which was awkward. • Password for the wifi is wrong. Passwords are case-sensitive! This wasted a lot of time. • No basic instruction sheet upon arrival. The note on how to start the hot tub was great, but no mention that gas stove was turned off at the wall or that you have to hold the pellet stove on-switch for several seconds to start. No one wants to pester the host with every little question until they are sure they aren’t doing something stupid. Provide clear written instructions, or greet the guests. • Bathroom: Hot water was fine but shower head needs a major descaling or replace. Heater/towel warmer not working and it was freezing coming out of the shower. • Kitchen utensils very basic. (no ladle, no measuring spoons/cups etc.) The village is remote so on-site cooking is a necessity; kitchen should be fitted as such. • Apartment needs to be decluttered. It is too small to have drawers piled with with outdated brochures. This seems like a long list of cons but all are easily fixed. I hope the hosts choose to do so to make this location everything it can be.

Quiet, authentic home in the hills.

We enjoyed our stay in Chianti. This home is very remote, 90 minutes from Florence up twisting mountain roads. Google maps got us within 2 km. The turn off to the rental from the main road is further west than Google shows on SP73. The nearest market is 30 km. It was a little confusing finding which building and door was ours, but hosts were asy to reach and very helpful through the VRBO messaging. They replied quickly to all my questions. The home was clean, and well stocked with extra pillows, blankets, shampoo, hair dryer, clothes iron, etc. They even had a little salt, coffee, honey, etc. It was absolutely silent at night and a great respite after long days of sightseeing. We definitely recommend this if you are looking for a quiet place in the country! We loved it.

Relaxing and Scenic

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights during our trip to Italy. It was the perfect place to unwind after the busyness of many of the tourist filled locations we had been to. Sara and Marcello were very helpful and their home in the cute little village was wonderful! We would definitely stay again.

Under the Tuscan sun

An amazing villa set on a hill top with a panoramic view. Vineyards and olive trees surround you. We loved sitting out back sipping wine, eating cheese and enjoying the scenery. The hot tub perfect for relaxing at night after a day of touring Sienna and other nearby sites. The quaint little village that the villa is a part of (we saw at most 5 people while we were there) adds to it's charm. The villa itself had everything we needed to make us comfortable. We met Marcello and Sara the day we arrived. They were very accommodating and showed us around were everything was located. Thank you Marcello and Sara

Dejligt hus og terasse

Meget flot og rent hus, som levede op til vores forventninger. Dog kunne udlejer ikke selv tage imod, så det blev hans mor der ikke kunne meget engelsk, så vi manglede lidt information om området. Men det kunne ikke ødelægge ferien og det dejlig hus.

Très bon séjour

Très bon séjour passé à Fietri, belle petite maison parfaitement équipée, avec des extérieurs magnifiques! Nous avons été accueillis par Marcello, très agréable et serviable. Le temps ne nous a pas permis de profiter du jacuzzi, dommage, pour une autre fois! A noter qu'il faut environ 30 minutes de voiture et de nombreux virages pour rejoindre la ville la plus proche, mais si vous êtes à la recherche de tranquillité au cœur de la Toscane, cet endroit est parfait! Nous recommandons!

A beautiful, peaceful place to stay with fantastic views. A great retreat that offers local hiking.

A very gracious owner. The views are everything the pictures promised. Beautiful agriculture, grapes and olives, all around. Pleasant places to walk, within Fietri and on trails leading to other towns nearby. Figs and Chestnuts were in season and plentiful when we were there.

We fell in love with this charming home. Marcello and Sara were wonderful hosts.

Located in a lovely area that could not have been prettier. When I thought of what Tuscany was going to be, this was it. Cooking in the kitchen and then dining on the outside patio was perfect. Sara and Marcello supplied so many extra things for cooking (salt, pepper, olive oil and vinegar and cinnamon, etc.). The outdoor spa was so relaxing. The home was clean with lots of towels for bath and spa. The fig tree next to the patio was an unexpected treat. I could have stayed there my entire time in Italy. Centrally located to many towns that we visited. Marcello meet us at the place when we first arrived and gave us details on getting around the area (local restaurants, grocery shops, details on taking the train to Florence- which we easy and fun). My party of four adults had the most relaxing and fun time at this home. We all agreed that staying here was the highlight of our trip and we all want to come back again one day. Thank you so much Marcello and Sara!

Staying in Fietri was like living into a perfect postcard of Tuscany but in the most authentic way possible. The landscape, the small town (just a bunch of houses), the garden, the quiet, the house itself: everything is just as perfect as a Renaissance framework I'm almost fearful of writing about this place because I'd like to keep it just for me, as my personal slice of heaven. But, truly, if you're dreaming of a vacation in the original Tuscany countryside, you should definitely rent this place. Thanks again to Sara and Marcello for the kindness.

Alles was man zur Erholung braucht

Schon als wir Marcello an unserem Anreisetag getroffen hatten, wussten wir, hier sind wir genau richtig. Die Wohnung und das drum herum waren wie für uns gemacht. Es liegt zwar total abgelegen, aber wer Erholung braucht, wird sie hier finden. Auch kann es mal vorkommen das morgens, draußen beim Frühstück ein Wildschwein vorbeischaut :) Wir können diese Unterkunft zu 100% weiterempfehlen und werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Vielen Dank für Alles!

Wunderschöner Urlaub

Wir haben im Casa della Fonte in Fietri zusammen mit unseren beiden Töchtern (14 + 16 Jahre) zwei wunderschöne Wochen verbracht. Nach sehr freundlicher Begrüßung durch Sara und Marcello (unsere Vermieter) haben wir uns gleich wohl gefühlt. Besonderes Highlight war die liebevoll angelegte Terasse mit einem super Ausblick über das Tal. Der schöne Whirlpool hat für die aufgrund des heißen Wetters nötige Abkühlung gesorgt. Alles war sehr sauber und ordentlich. Auch das WLAN hat super funktioniert, was nicht ganz unwichtig ist, wenn man mit Jugendlichen reist. 😀 Der Whirlpool wurde 1x pro Woche vom Vermieter gereinigt, auch Bettwäsche und Handtücher wurden 1x pro Woche ausgetauscht. Von Fietri aus haben wir tolle Ausflüge z.B. nach Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa und Florenz gemacht. Insgesamt war es ein sehr entspannender Urlaub und wir können das Haus und die hilfsbereiten, freundlichen Vermieter nur weiterempfehlen.

Toskana pur

Ein wunderbarer Rückzugsort mit allem, was das Herz begehrt. Es war so schön, dass wir gern länger geblieben wären. Die Aussicht und die Natur rundherum sind fantastisch. Schade, dass die Fahrten von dort durch Serpentin immer sehr lange dauerten, aber dadurch war auch erst diese Abgeschiedenheit möglich. Das Haus ist toll, typischer Toskana-Stil, wir hatten alles was wir brauchten. Der Whirlpool rundet den Luxus natürlich noch ab. Es gibt genug Möglichkeiten sich wirklich zu entspannen. Marcello ist ein sehr netter Gastgeber, man fühlt sich gleich wohl. Danke für diesen wundervollen Aufenthalt!

Historisches Haus am Ende der Welt

Insgesamt war unser Aufenthalt OK, mehr aber leider nicht. Was gut war: > Durch die Lage auf dem Berg ist es gegenüber Flozenz oder Siena angenehm kühl (im Juni 28° statt 35° im Tal) > Die Terrasse ist wunderschön und war unser eigentliches Wohnzimmer, das Haus haben wir praktisch nur zum Schlafen aufgesucht > Die Natur ist grandios - Von der Terrasse aus können viele Tiere beobachtet werden: Fuchs, Wildschwein, Marder haben wir gesehen. Auch am Strassenrand gibt es einiges zu entdecken. > Das Haus muss Jahrhunderte alt sein und hat entsprechendes Flair. Ausserdem wusste man damals, wie man schlau baut: Es ist überraschend kühl im Haus. > Sara und Marcello sind sehr nette und unkomplizierte Vermieter Nicht so gut: > Durch die Lage auf dem Berg ist es eine halbe Stunde Fahrt, bevor man irgendwo ist. Es ist wirklich am Ende der Welt. > Kein direkter Zugang von der Wohnung zur Terrasse: Erst aus der Wohnung durch das Treppenhaus, zur Haustür raus, ggf. um parkende Autos herum, durch ein Tor in den Garten - eine ziemliche Kurverei für jede Mahlzeit. > Die Natur ist grandios - Wenn es dunkel ist sollte man sehr langsam fahren, es ist wirklich einiges an Getier unterwegs. > Das Haus muss Jahrhunderte alt sein. Man wusste damals, wie man schlau baut: Die Fenster sind sehr klein, die Wände dick entsprechend dunkel ist es im Haus. Das Wohnzimmer hat überhaupt keine Fenster, man mag sich dort nicht wirklich aufhalten. Küche/Kaminzimmer ist nicht einladend. Die Einrichtung insgesamt ist recht betagt. Im Garten gibt es zwar 2 Liegestühle, die aber den Namen nicht wirklich verdienen. Sollte man wissen: Man hat das Haus nicht unbedingt für sich allein. Die Wohnung ist nur ein Teil davon, es gibt noch Räume, die von der Besitzerfamilie genutzt werden könnnen. Kann also immer passieren, dass die (sehr nette) Familie auftaucht.

Typisch toskanisches Ferienhaus

Haben mit unseren beiden Jungs (10 und 13 Jahre) unsere Herbstferien 2016 hier verbracht. Haus liegt super-ruhig, hat einen Garten mit Terrasse und tollem Ausblick. Der Vermieter war sehr nett und sehr unkompliziert. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und die Kids hatten ihren Spaß im Jacuzzi.

Idylle als perfekter Ausgangspunkt

Wir waren zu viert (2 Päarchen) in diesem wunderbaren Ferienhaus. Für vier Personen ist es optimal, sechs ist nur für Familien zu empfehlen, da das Schlafsofa im Durchgangszimmer steht. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet was man benötigt und bietet eine wahnsinns Aussicht, Frühstücken mit 40 km Fernsicht inklusive. Die Planung vorab mit Sara und Marcello war einwandfrei und die zwei haben schnell alle offenen Fragen beantwortet. Dies führten sie vor Ort auch so fort. Als Ausgangpunkt zur Chianti-Erkundung bietet sich das Haus ebenfalls an, man ist innerhalb einer Stunde in den meisten bekannten Orten und fährt durch eine wunderbare Landschaft mit verschlafenen kleinen Dörfern. Sehr zu empfehlen ist abends in San Gusmé Essen zu gehen und die Aussicht bis nach San Gimignano und Siena zu genießen. Vorsicht ist nur auf den Straßen im dunkeln geboten, hier ist ein regelrechter Zoo unterwegs (Füchse, Wildschweine, Stachelschweine und Rehe). Ebenfalls ein einmaliges Erlebnis.

Romantischer Ort mitten im Wald

Wundervolle ruhige Lage mit toller Terrasse und liebevoll renovierten Haus. Sehr nette Vermieter und man kann günstig sehr gutes Olivenöl und Wein kaufen. Alles da was man braucht. Holz für den Kamin und Kohle für den Grill. Küche komplett. Whirlpool mit Waldblick und gute Ausflugsmöglichkeiten nach Siena, San Gusme (!) Arezzo etc.

Ruhig, erholsam, interessant

Wir, ein Ehepaar von ca. 50 J., haben in der 2. Septemberhälfte unseren Urlaub in dem urigen, mit Liebe zum Detail renovierten Steinhaus in den Quianti-Bergen verlebt. Bei offenen Fenstern oder auf den schönen Terrassen konnten wir die Stille und die Natur genießen. Stets warmes Wasser, gut eingerichtete Küche, besonders mit Spülmaschine, Kräuter und Feigen im Garten. Marcello und Sara, die Vermieter waren überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit und gaben uns viele Tips für Ausflüge. Um die Gegend zu erkunden mussten wir immer erst von den Bergen runter, aber es gab unendlich viele kleine mittelalterliche Dörfchen und Städte, die alle zum Anschauen lohnten. Und die Landschaft war einfach superschön. Mit den Fahrrädern sind wir meistens im Flacheren gestartet; vom Wohnort aus, das war hardcore. Zur Zeit der Weinlese ist die Toskana besonders schön. Es gibt viele Weinfeste. Alles in allem ein gelungener Urlaub!
